Guntucky

CMT (Country Music Television) has a new gun related show:

Guntucky chronicles three generations of the Sumner family and their adventures as they shoot from the hip and fire from all cylinders in business and in life, banding together to run Knob Creek gun shop and shooting range.

Looks like it might be some mindless gun entertainment if that’s what you’re looking for.  You can actually check out the entire 1st episode online before the actual air date.  Knob Creek looks like a good time, I’d like to check it out someday. I’m sure those of you that have been might be looking forward to the show to see some behind the scenes type things.

GuntuckyPremieres Sunday April 21st @ 8:30 Central.

Wow, this shit is complete garbage. If you thought sons of guns was a bad show, get ready to be fully pissed off. The moron in the first episode actually referred to an sks as an assault rifle… If i held the trigger down on that sks and it didnt fire multiple rounds (which it didnt) i would have thrown it on the ground and slapped that ignorant son of a bitch in the mouth, and left.
I get that for a tv show to be successful you have to add some drama and other stupid shit, but this is absolutely pathetic. Wont be watching this garbage for any reason and i hope it fails immediately and is promptly removed…

  2. The night shoot at the semiannual Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot is something that every shooter should do once in his life. Think of it as Mecca for shooters. The concurrent gunshow is good too.

The Knob Creek shoot is going on this weekend. It’s lots of fun and the shopping area has everything you could think of. I haven’t seen the show preview yet, but Kenny and his family are really good-hearted people- I hope the show doesn’t make them look too retarded.

It is really annoying to see another group of people blowing crap up using Tannerite in an attempt to hype up their shows.

Yet another show making gun owners look like nothing more than people who want to go out and blow $&%t up. Not the best move in just the point in time when our government is trying everything they can to take away our guns.

    1. i am So tired of tannerite explosions.

Besides all of the tannerite explosions OH WOW, Im at least happy to see new gun shows popping up, even if I dont EVER watch CMT (They dont play any Steve Earle). However, that kind of brings me naturally to the point of thinking about if it is good publicity for gun culture or if it just helps some koolaid drinker justify his hatred of gun owners cause these folks are acting a little extra crazy for the camera. The Knob Creek Machine gun shoot however really is one of the coolest fuckin things on the planet and definitely a bucket list item of mine.

  6. Saw most these guys down there this weekend and had a chance to speak briefly with 2 of em. Videos of the shoot should be up on my channel page soon. :)

  7. I went to their machine gun shoot this Sat…. It was awsome….. the Gun show out there sucked though….. 90% was a bunch of Crap…. I have thrown away better stuff than what was for sale…. and everything was over priced.

  8. Yeah the show looks stupid but whatever, I’m happy a network isn’t too limp to show guns.

The unfortunate, yet predictable, result of shows such as this is that fun-lovin’, gun-totin’ folks in places like Kentucky give a five-year-old child a real gun as a gift. Then, the boy kills his two-year-old sister with his new “toy”. Imagine the rest of that poor boy’s life. Then, in a comment showing unbelievable ignorance and insensitivity, the County Coroner says, “this is one of those crazy accidents that just happens”. Unfreakingbelievable. Jail the parents for Manslaughter to start.

Hopefully, CMT will show some class and cancel this show for good.

How many people need to die before we evolve as a country away from our insane passion for guns?
And, believe it or not, I am a father, a gun owner and a criminal defense attorney who has spent over twenty years defending individuals accused of crimes, often ones involving guns.
