Homemade Glock

Home gunsmithing at it’s finest.  I think the tenifer might be wearing off though:

Pfffft safe action triggers are for pussies anyway.

Yea obviously not a Glock Brand Glock.  As the source link says, it’s suspected to be molded from a sawdust expoxy mixture.  Hammer fired from within the slide too!  It’s no porcelain Glock 7 that costs more than you make in a month, that much is obvious.  Although, I suppose I might be surprised what some of you make in a month.

With all this talk about banning 3d Printers, I’m pretty sure we should add glue, sawdust, and metal to the list too.  Hell, lets just quit beating around the bush and just put hands on there too.  If what you could do with your hands was regulated by the government we would have no problems at all.

Thoughts?

Neat! I love this kind of stuff.

  2. Based on looks that trigger pull is probably 50lbs.

  3. Implying I couldn’t kill everyone in the room with my little toe…

    Man, I need a gun project…but this ain’t it.

  5. Trivial Pursuit: Glock stopped using Tenifer about 3 years ago. They use a ‘similar process’ with the same Rockwell Hardness. Apparently they got tired of paying royalties to HEF.

I am sure Gaston has already sued the maker and forced him to rename his children Hansel & Gretel.

I lost. +1 internets for you, sir.

  9. Looks to be from Afghanistan. They are very good at replicating (at least the look) of popular firearms with little or no tools and materials. Most likely the fellow who created this “Glock” had only seen a few images of one. I’ve seen a number of older British firearms (Lee Enfield, Webley, Martini Henry) that had been copied this way. They, unlike this Glock, were not such obvious fakes; although, like this Glock, they appeared much older then they truly were.

Gen 5 Glocks feature a crisp trigger and do away with the hand shreading grip texture.

  11. Whenever someone is having a fit about 3D printing guns, I keep making the point that you can already make a gun in your home. This is a great example of it in action. Hell, there are plans on how to make a gun using a drill press and a bench vise. It all sounds like “Oh noes, technology will kill us!!”
