Loudener Muzzle Brake – Turnt Up Shooting

Turn your favorite rifle up to 11 with the loudener:

The idea forged deep in the bowels of Snake Hound Machine HQ by “AK Jesus” Owen Martin.

What’s not to like about this thing?  Just to be a dick you could use it to clear a busy public range by doing back to back mag dumps.  No one wants to shoot beside or anywhere near anyone that obnoxious… you would have the place to yourself in no time.

Simpsons-Gun-Loudener

You can grab the loudeners in all thee calibers (Sept 1st expected release date): .308 Loudener, 7.62x39mm Loudener, 5.56x45mm Loudener.

Damn that .308 version is going to be a beast!  Even the 5.56 one in the video you could tell barked really mean.

I wonder what the price on these things will be?

Thoughts?

Shut up and take my money!

Seriously, though, I have a buddy that has a Rock River Operator model AR, and it has the most obnoxious muzzle brake (photo here) of any AR-pattern rifle I’ve ever sat next to. It’s downright unpleasant to shoot at the bench next to him. Therefore, I’m going to get one of these, and return the favor, with interest. Then when he tells me it’s too loud, and I should get a different brake, I’ll tell him what he’s told me for the last couple years: “Yeah, I like it.” and let him deal.

They will be selling the loudener for around $100.

Dude, that is a joke from the awesome ’80’s TV show “Sledge Hammer”

I’ve shot this thing and I can tell you that no video can convey how concussive this thing is. It’s like a cannon.

Can you imagine the .308 version on a .308 pistol variant? Damn. I’ve been using a similar device for years on my paintball guns. 3in barrel+ loudener = slightly louder than a .22 through a PAINTBALL gun! These things actually have use, though, as the louder you are the more attention (and fire) you draw. Kinda gives you some idea as to the possibilities of actual use.

I think this is practical in terms of morale. Image how scared the enemy would be when you are shooting at them. 4 guys would sound like a whole platoon.

This is the exact opposite of what I want. I despise muzzle breaks for this exact reason. It’s like he’s selling peaches with 100% more pit.

Sounds cool, needs some bump-fire!
Even better, put it on a Mosin M44 carbine; that’d be one hell of a cannon/flamethrower!
This novelty would be great at a machinegun shoot.

Looks like a 74′ brake, which is no surprise, as the 74′ brake on an SBR has to be one of the most obnoxious setups ever.

I would put it on a T53 rifle (Chinese M44 clone). That way the muzzle break would cost more than the rifle.

If it makes the gun louder around the shooter is it therefore quieter downrange? The Einstein/Marshall eleventh law, preservation of decibels~time distance squared with a black hole integer applies. If so it is actually a silencer so if I stacked like 5 of them on my barrel the zombies I shoot from 666 yards away wouldn’t hear a thing.

The Pelosi Feinstein Bloomberg Theory dictates that if it’s called a Loudener, it must be louder and not quieter. However, it’s scariness factor has reached Pi x 100 Quadrillion and thus should be banned.*

*Pelosi, Feinstein, and Bloomberg are exempt from their own law. MMmkay?

it makes the report louder for the shooter, and anyone to the rear or sides. but it cannot increase the amount of expanded gas outside the muzzle as he stated, as there is a finite amount that exits any barrel. this brake – as does any muzzle brake – simply deflects the propagating waves of compressed air back to you instead of letting them radiate downrange. so the report from your target’s perspective would be reduced, actually.

a cartridge fired from a short barrel vs a long barrel will result in more gasses combusting in the open atmosphere, sounding louder…and hence their use in the video promoting their product.

i don’t mind this so much.
by far, the most annoying person to shoot next to was this black powder guy at a public range. i was wearing a short sleeve shirt, and was on his right.
cue hundreds of tiny, singing powder burns.

OWWW f*ck.
