Young HSLD Operators Training For Operations

From the same guys who brought us the classic “Cut you down” video:

ShakespeareOperatorI don’t like the song in this one as much, so it didn’t quite have the same effect on me.  It doesn’t take a genius to see these guys have skills, not to mention some nice gear!

Wow, just shy of 445,000 views on Cut you down!

    That’s some clean gear.

Am I the only one who hears ka-ching of the cash register every time they string fire? I think firearmageddon has damaged my ability to enjoy HSLD training…

That’s the first thing that came to mind when I watched it.

Ive resorted to shooting a LOT of cheapy steel stuff all summer in order to avoid as much of that feeling as I can. a 1000 rounds makes for a reasonable priced summertime of training.

fun gun porn and all but what’s the point of this video other than Try hard Leet Operator operating on camera? Are they contractors or something?

      mall contractors probably

It’s not just this video, but it seems that most of these types of guys put in a lot of effort against targets that don’t shoot back (unless, of course, that is the sole intent). I bet most of what they do would fall apart against any kind of moving adversary. Seems like false confidence to only train against static targets all of the time.

If you’re willing to volunteer as a moving target I’m sure they’d take you up on it. You train on targets to have the skills to use them in a real life situation, then again judging from your name you’re not an expert…

I tried acquiring a t-800 Terminator from Skynet equipped with a phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range to practice my operator skills with, but they wont sell me one.

This video had no Garands and no M1As, for shame. The man in black always helps as well.

    fun video.

definitely makes me want to go get my gear dirty. its a shame ammo isn’t easier to replace. who knows if it will ever bee again? seems like the supply just isn’t there at a decent price anymore.

i think these types of vids are great for the cause – makes people want to train harder not too mention that all that gear costs $ – which is great for the industry as a whole. .

  10. ok i’ll say it , I would love to be able to have that much gear , ammo , and yes transition like that …I enjoy shooting , I cant be high speed if I tried

Looks like some guys who actually get to the range, train, and are having a good time.

  12. You no like the prodigy? Good shooting on these guys part, a friend of mine the other day who is out of the Marines compared this type of civilian HSLD shooting to LARPing. He made the comparison that it is just as imaginary and as much a fantasy. I LOLed.

  13. Lots of tough talk in this comment thread.

I love the attempts to make them sound amateur and bad, when we have absolutely no idea what their backgrounds are or what they do for work. Considering their self-run training looks very similar to much of the top-tier classes held stateside (and that Travis Haley just commented positively on the video on youtube), I think they are doing just fine. Certainly better shooters than I am.

The guys are a mixed of military, LEOs, and civilians. As for the static target comment, its kind of expensive to afford moving targets. Even then there will always be some sense of gaming it since its a known target. Force on force helps in this area. Again expensive.
Folks talking about training like this is a joke please point out where people learn and practice their skill leading up to the 2 way range. You train for the time you are either forced or ordered to be in the crap.
Gear, everyone can use it. You start training at higher levels with greater risk its required. Ie EAG Shoot House. Folks are starting to not only keep a firearm at the ready for home defense but some level of armor. Ie US Palm sells single side armor for the purpose.
Ammo costs do suck but you gotta pay the piper sometimes to keep training up. Many opt for .22 conversions or start reloading to keep cost day.

    steel targets don’t fire back

  16. What’s with the BS comments about the targets not shooting back? Who the f&@k TRAINS on targets that shoot back? F&@king NOBODY! SEAL Team 6 does not train with targets that shoot back, Delta does not train with targets that shoot back, and neither do you! Get over yourself.

And “Cut You Down” was better x10…

Man…wish I had the money to train like that. With FMJ at 50 cents/round, a day of training costs me like 50 bucks. I don’t think too many of us can afford that all that often.

  19. Good training vid. Nice transitions. Solid pistol presentations. Probably high speed training for LLEs or PMCs.
