Notch Hat – A Solution To A Problem No One Ever Had

Likely not wanted by operators who operate in operations, despite the picture suggesting it:

Notch-Hat-Tactical-Operator-Promo

If you haven’t gathered by the pictures, the entire “selling feature” of this hat are the two notches cut out of the pre-curved visor.  I’m not sure why you can’t just pull your hat up 1/4″ like a normal human being when you’re wearing sunglasses, rather than wear a hat with bite marks taken out of it… but there you go…. BECAUSE AMERICA!

I’m sure they have that visor patented, otherwise you just know companies like NewEra would be all over this idea (hahah uhhhh no).

Notch-HatMrColionNoir operates hard and he likes his hats down really low… maybe he would like these?  I doubt it, because he’s a stylish mofo.

You can check out the entire lineup over at the Notch Hat website, and by all means buy the shit out of everything if you think it’s a good idea.

Thoughts?  Anyone else curious what the inevitable Notch underwear will look like?

Hat tip: Rick

Hmmm we should have a vote for dumbest new product.
1. that rail holster for your pistol on a long gun or “to put a gun on yo gun so you can shoot while you shoot”
2. the rotating rail
3. this hat.

4. Zip .22

It’s hard to beat the stupidity of the rifle rail pistol holster.

I would rock it if it was only like 10 bucks, I’m the kind of douche that likes to have my hats bill on the optic and it is kind of uncomfortable when I’m using my 3 dollar bulk construction eye pro.

Reply

dave w September 20, 2013 at 05:34 am

well if you mount a rail on top of the optic and mount a ball cap on top of that, you will be set.
Wait! no one copy my idea, its neva been dun befo!

Oh you’ll still die, UNLESS… you get tactical shark jump Costa Lupus arm tape.

Reply

GreenMountain Human September 21, 2013 at 01:15 am

I think you need to wear the arm tape to get the proper fit adjusting the strap on the ninja turtle pack anyway. It helps you get the right dynamic pull angle…

For the same reason people wear sunglasses indoors

I wear a hat + sunglasses all the time just so I don’t burn my forehead in the sun.

Reply

SittingDown September 20, 2013 at 04:36 pm

You’re excused. But it does have a Dale Earnhardt sort of look to it. Though wearing both could protect you from contracting “Costa-Lupus” virus. The only cure for which is to burn seventy rolls of tactical arm tape and place the ashes into a coffin shaped like Chris Costa’s silhouette ;) :D

How dare you question my hattery?!

Sunglass + Visor is the way to go, I wear normal glasses most days and they definitely dont do the same job ha

Reply

Foq August 4, 2018 at 08:24 pm

retarded question.
hat protects from direct sunlight, sunglasses cover the eyes from the surrounding light.
One does not reduce the need for the other.

Reply

jim bob September 20, 2013 at 07:24 am

i heard you like rails, so we put a rail on your rail, so you can operate without going off the rails.

It looks better than those idiotic flat-billed fitted hats. Beyond stupid, especially worn at an angle. I wanna pop them off kid’s heads when I see it.

I have considered notching a hat or two, I have a small head, so a standard hat bill is all-encompassing.

Reply

Ed September 20, 2013 at 10:05 pm

Agreed on the flat billed hats. Some of us are any or all of: White, older than 14 years of age, employed and sober.

I bought one to try out, so I guess I’m fashionally challenged in ENDO’s eyes, lol! But I wanted a Krytek hat. The fit and quality of the hat reminds me of UA heat gear stuff. Nice and comfortable. The notch didn’t work well for me when wearing Oakley Gascans, haven’t tried it on eye pros yet. It’s not deep and not that noticeable like I thought it would be. I’ll probably wear it to the range once I remove that damn button top!

Endo and others,
Thanks for the feedback on our product. Our hats aren’t for everyone (but then again, no hat is) but they do solve a problem that is common for many people. The response to our product has been overwhelmingly good, especially in the hunting/outdoor and tactical community. We’ll also be introducing a style very soon without the button on top as we have been flooded with requests for those from consumers and retailers alike. We’re veteran owned and operated and we would only ask that you suspend judgement until you have tried it for yourself.

Endo, we didn’t notice until it was brought to our attention that you altered our image…not cool.

Reply

Bygdawg September 20, 2013 at 06:33 pm

Don’t get too offended about the image, you got FREE exposure.

I am a police officer, and I love the notch hat. It’s great on the range and just to wear out. It is made of quality material. I don’t understand all the hatting, especially from those who haven’t tried it. Several of my brothers at the pd want one after I wore mine when we had to qualify on the range. I plan to buy another one myself. Notch keep up the good work.

I think this is kind of frivolous, but I don’t operate, so while it’s not a problem for me, I can see the utility of this for the almost no one who needs this.

Seriously, I’m roflcoptering at the butthurt from the photo. It’s the internet. He could Photoshop wangs everywhere and be fine. Deal with it. You put a funny product out on the market, and it’s getting clowned. Just be glad you don’t bear a resemblance to a rather well known post-op tranny. I do admit the butthurt from that would be epic, though.

Reply

MarcRandall September 21, 2013 at 12:06 pm

Ha so much butthurt over the shopped pic. They must be good at telling from the pixels and seeing a lot of shops in their time. Product request: A notch in the back so I can grow a pony tail and wear a hat comfortably when I tactically operate

Reply

SittingDown September 21, 2013 at 02:04 pm

Stick with the drink hat with straws. Gives nourishment for half the price. For those days you just DGAF, wear the pinwheel hat and be really tacticool.

I’m actually really interested in this hat for competition shooting. I wear a POV headcam on my head and when i tilt the hat back enough to clear my shooting glasses the cam is high of center. I’m hoping this hat will sit lower on my head with my shooting glasses and I’ll also be able to run my headcam at a better angle. Yes I’ve played with different cam mounting solutions, different cams, and different glasses. Here is a link to a video of a shooting match with the cam mounted to my hat. https://vimeo.com/113453617

Cheguei aqui apenas porque a ideia do “notch cap” me é muito útil e necessária. Todos os dias me aborreço em precisar deste produto e não ter onde comprá-lo próximo a mim. A combinação é perfeita. Parabéns aos criadores! Nem Jesus Cristo é unanimidade e mais da metade da população mundial não o aprecia; quanto mais um produto para isso exclusivo daqueles que necessitam.
