Bird Law Habitual Line Stepper Makes Point At Gun Protest

Bird Law – Still Not Governed By Reason:

Bird-Law-Appleton-Wisconsin

APPLETON, Wis. — When Mark Scheffler was asked to leave a gun protest, along with his brown hen named Winchester, on Saturday, it was precisely the point he wanted to make at the popular gathering.

Chickens are far safer than firearms and laws allowing for open carry need to change, said Scheffler of Appleton.  “Carrying a loaded assault weapon in downtown Appleton, the fine is zero dollars,” he said. “The fine for carrying a loaded chicken — and she is loaded — is $263.50.”

LOL I’ve literally been waiting forever to make a real life bird law reference.

well he makes a good point, but birds can also carry diseases that can infect the populace through their droppings, not to mention people who may be allergic to the feathers. Guns do not shit everywhere, and I have never heard of people dying from an allergic reaction to a fire arm…..(though “lead poisoning” could be a condition you recieve if you try to rob someone with a permit to carry)

I’m allergic to firearms, the reaction is called Imaphuckinpussy-cerosis…it’s very serious, look it up.

Don’t disregard F.U.D., it can cause all kinds of problems with open carry. ;)

But seriously…this is what’s wrong with anti-rights advocates thinking. They show the stupidity of a chicken law as evidence to get rid of AR-15’s in all but rural areas…while I see a stupid law for chickens as: a stupid law for chickens. I live in WI, and the derp element is strong around here…as you get closer to Madison it gets progressively derpier.

Best comment.

So many potential shirt ideas.! Assault cock v. assault weapon (chicken silhouette with predator accessories v. AR with every accessory.) Or a homophone shirt : Full Cock v. Half Cock (rooster silhouette v. 1911 in carry position.

He has a pretty good point. He’s not necessarily saying guns shouldn’t be allowed here because chickens aren’t. I think he’s saying chickens (his issue: maybe he’s a farmer) should also be allowed.

It’s pretty odd that an animal bred for food should be illegal. People should have the right to grow and raise their own food wherever they live.

From the article linked:

“…Demonstrators who joined Scheffler wore T-shirts emblazoned with silhouettes of a chicken and an AR-15 rifle. They passed out leaflets encouraging people to contact state lawmakers in support of a change to the law. They argued that while open carry is fine in rural areas, cities should have the right to decide whether people can outwardly carry their guns within their borders…”

Hence my comment of the retardation of liberal logic. Stupid laws for chickens is stupid law for chickens. His viewpoint apparently is that because their are other stupid laws on the books, we need more stupid laws attacking constitutional rights. It’s an utterly derptastic viewpoint but not surprising when you look at a lot of the anti-rights liberal loons in WI.
