Cute Cartoon On The Brady Background Check

Brady Campaign wants a background check on ALL gun sales:

I’m so offended that the bad guy is white.  Why couldn’t they have made him purple or blue or something? haha

Brady-Campaign-Ban-Assault-ClipsWe all know if congress passed a law to make criminals having guns illegal, there would be zero gun crime by criminals.  That’s obviously how it works right?  I mean, what criminal in his right mind would actually break the law to get a gun?

Thoughts?

  1. The closest thing I’ve got to buying a gun off the internet without a background check is off facebook, lol…

I purchased a rifle online before, unless its on craigslist, 90% of the websites out there will ask you to show proof of FFL ownership, or they will supply you a database of FFL dealers for your state that they will ship the rifle to, upon getting there, they make you fill out a background check, the same kind they have at gunshows or Gun store transactions. If you pass, you leave with the rifle, if you fail, that FFL dealer will hold on to it until you either A: Sell it, or B: Ship it back for a refund, but they usually wont let you have the rifle.

Thats not saying that you couldnt do it on facebook, just talking about “Reliable Online Firearm Resources” not buying some shotgun from bubba on facebook or the like

I like how they said “Bad Guy won’t stop, he is the bad guy!” well that means that for all intents and purposes, applying the background check to private sales, or craigslist ads (something that cannot be enforced mind you) would just mean that the “Bad Guy” will just find another way to obtain his firearms. Whats next? Background checks before stealing a firearm? Just how many more Uninforcable background checks do they want to put in place?

  3. Best video ever. Thanks for the laugh. Try and follow this logic. We all know that everyone who sells guns online is not trying to sell guns illegally. In fact most are up and up Americans just trying yo make an honest dollar. However there are some be it few who are selling guns to criminals. So what’s wrong with passing a law that makes it harder to sell it to them online? Goog guys will just have to verify background check. Then it makes it harder for bad guys to get guns. Don’t you want that? Or are you rooting for the bad guys? How do you think bad guys get guns? The obvious answer is on the streets from other bad guys and gangsters right. OK where do those bad guys and gangsters get their guns? Hum…….. ooooh I know they steal them. Wait no there is no way that many guns are stolen. So….. online? Hum…. maybe that’s how illegal guns get into mexico and into the hands of drug cartels (bad guys) since guns are not sold in Mexico since they are illegal

  5. Isn’t this how gun sales in CA work? Or rather, *don’t* work?

    1. Close. Any private sale has to go through an FFL. You need to meet the other party at the FFL, state that you are doing a p2p transfer, sign some papers. Then the the buyer hands over the cash to the seller, and pays for the transfer ($35 I think). The seller is done at this point and leaves. The FFL holds the gun for 10 24 hour periods and performs the background check. The buyer goes home to wait the 10ish days.

Considering this happens regardless of already owning 0 or 1 million guys, it is rather a pain in the ass.

  6. I don’t know if I laughed more at this, or at the ridiculous Rener Gracie CQB video. Really? I can’t believe people still think that the only avenue to purchase a firearm is a legal route. Pretty sure all the crayon eating idiot gangbangers out there don’t bother with local gun stores or online sales… Nuff said.
