Tracking Point AR Series Rifles

Tracking point announced an AR series of rifles today:

The video didn’t dazzle me, but it showcased the rifle… so mission accomplished I suppose.  Beats reading words.  Thanks Tracking Point for freeing me up an extra 0:47 seconds where I could shovel Cheetos into my gaping mouth with an idle mind.

7.62, .300 BLK, and of course 5.56 … You can read more about them at the Tracking Point Labs page.

I arbitrarily subtract some points from the video:

  • -5 points for the operator’s helmet not having a dozen accessories on it, including IR flags and night vision.  How bush-league.
  • -2 points for the operator not having some high speed low drag gloves on.
  • -3 points for 0:07 – Are those tactical Salomon hiking shoes? haha

At least the operator had a beard, multicam, and sunglasses.

Despite my earlier rant of everyone and their grandma having an AR with their company name on it, Tracking Point obviously gets a pass because this isn’t just any old AR… it contains ridiculous amounts of innovation, on the precision guided side of things anyway.

I just know 2014 will be the year, where the costs of these things will come down enough so every man, woman, and child can fulfill the American dream of owning something which enables shooting things in the face with extreme precision.

Thoughts?

Slidefire version with Manta Rails. Free Notch Hat included with every purchase. LOL

  3. Damn you’d think they’d consult a professional for some advice on tactical movement for this video. Also cut the fucking dumbstep music shit.

Needless to say I need the product.

  4. We all know the best way to shoot out of a window is to put the entire weapon out of the window and most of your body. That way you’re a little closer to the target…

Not sure if you know this Mike, but Salomon hiking shoes are the premier “underground” operator footwear. Coyote tac boots are sell outs. Everyone who is anyone only wears Salomon hiking shoes, ever since the author of No Easy Day stated he wore Salomon.

    1. Salomons are really fucking nice. Too mainstream for me though.

  6. Somehow I just can’t see the F-22 CAS flying over an AR-15 operator. But maybe I’m wrong.
