How Black People Feel About The NRA

Black people stereotyping themselves:

Assault-Rifle-Because-I-Am-Black*eye roll* whatever, the video is irritating… even the few pro-gun parts of it were annoying.  Good to see MrColionNoir in the video though (5:24).

Thoughts?

I thought the video brought up some good points. The stereotype, among many other stereotypes, that needs to be defeated is the one of the racist, paranoid white man being the only one to own guns. There are very large segments of the population that should be reached out to and taught that guns in and of themselves are not inherently bad; it’s the intentions of the person behind the trigger who dictates whether or not that gun is used in responsible manner. I’d say it’s pretty refreshing to see a different view point on the stance, and even more refreshing to see that my view points are not necessarily validated but understood. What it ultimately comes down to is that it is a right, and that right is afforded to all responsible Americans. Whether or not individuals exercise that right or even agree with it is up to them; but as long as they understand there are those who do and will then I think we are headed in the right direction. It would have been cool if they had interviewed Colion Noir as well though. But enough of my soapbox.

We can thank Michael Moore for saying the NRA started when the KKK was abolished long ago. I can guarantee you most of those people stating that the NRA has had NRA policies and other behaviors that are racist could not cite ONE example of such behavior. I can’t stand racist black people like this who equate EVERYTHING with race. Get some damned spine and grow up.

One good point that they did make, is that the NRA needs to stay out of any politics that isn’t gun politics.

Many in the conservative side want the NRA to start factoring in non-gun related positions when making their political endorsements. Something that NRA has long resisted.

OTOH the rest of that video is people that believe the anti-gunner’s lies about the NRA. Most people, including many gun owners, don’t realize that the NRA didn’t become political active until the late 70’s. And they didn’t take their more hard lined approach to run rights until the 90’s (they thought that they could compromise with the anti-gunners and they would go away). Sure they were consulted on the NFA, and GCA but they didn’t campaign for it or against it as they weren’t a political organization then.

Now the question is, what does the NRA have to do to rise about the anti-gunner’s propaganda? I don’t think they should start compromising on gun rights.

typical low information voters. Speaking with confidence about things that just aren’t true. They heard someone else say it, so they say it. They don’t even care if they are wrong and the truth is so easy to find out. Won’t join the NRA because MLK wanted a gun permit and couldn’t get one… but will join the Democratic party which has a hundred year history of taking guns away from blacks. DERP.

The NRA is a gun safety organisation.

(I’m not a member because I think guns should be more dangerous).

Wow,

Can you find a more clueless bunch of people?

1. Mr. and Mrs. Black America don’t have a clue about most things – repeat what I hear, or am told.
2. I’ll repeat what ever was told to me, and not take the time to research it myself
3. Black people mostly own illeagal guns.
4. Lets blame every thing on the NRA, because they control who can get a gun. MLK example
5. Black people are racest.
6. This was a worthless video, and brought nothing to the conversation.

Browse your news feed and see how much your conservative friends parrot crap all day long with various memes, fox/beck/jones fabrications, and other false claims. Even amongst gun folks there’s endless parroting of crap they heard. This isn’t a market cornered by black america…everyone does it unless they’ve learned to have a shred of integrity, accountability, and honesty and like to verify things themselves…a la MRAPs and 70 billions rounds of ammo.

Its true, just the other day I was told that southern white democrats created the KKK, and that an old top officer of the kkk was still in office in 2010 some Byrd guy.

Luckly I did some reading and found out that of course the whole thing was a …… wait no it was true

I don’t disagree with you, however, we are talking about this video.

One thing I just noticed was the line:

“My take away on this video” seems to have been deleted from my edit – This was my error. When you read my post, without this line, boy I sound like an asshole.

Another Obama supporter heard from. I love it when the “pro-gun Democrats” roll up to whine… it’s almost like finding a bunch of pro-Stalin kulaks. “But but but abortion! And evil Christocrats! And Chuck Schumer pinky-swore he’d never come in my mouth…again!”

All the evidence you need that black people are dangerous to the Second Amendment and the Constitution of the United States. Note the part that the NRA is a legalized KKK, as if the KKK were illegal. It appears that black people think they can outlaw whoever and whatever they don’t like. Think about this the next time you think that we can just get along. They will come for your guns when they get the chance. Undoubtedly homosexuals have the same attitude. They will return your toleration and respect with tyranny.

maybe if the NRA did a bit of outreach and altered its leadership, it could attract substantial numbers of black members, LGBT members, etc. rather than be butthurt over this video, consider it a free lesson on what the NRA needs to do to actually win new members.

I don’t think making fun of idiots makes anyone butthurt, other then the idiots.

Don’t troll unless you have something to contribute…

This is great a great video.

From the business end, I would say there’s a lot of people out there that are uniformed on the laws and regulations. There are a lot of rationally thinking people out there that don’t own guns.

The NRA doesn’t have to worry about converting the conservatives and republicans in general. They need to focus their attention on bringing understanding, knowledge and a fun experience to the forefront of the gun industry to liberals and democrats.

Lets say there’s 50 percent of America that’s democrat and they don’t own guns. In lean terms that’s waste, wasted opportunity, and profit that a company and the NRA is not seeing.
