5.11 Tactical Duty Kilt Returns

One of the classic April-fools-joke-turned-profitable stories is back:

511-Tactial-Duty-KiltIn 2012 5.11 first released the Tactical Kilt as an April fools joke, and of course everyone wanted one.  Well it looks like they are back again this year.  Great vid guys!

Thoughts?  The product really isn’t my type of thing, but I can see the novelty for sure.  Get a black one, wear it with a tall T and people will say you’re biting Kayne’s style.

According to the 5.11 website, $10 from each kilt sale goes to the FBINAA charity.

Thoughts?  Anyone miss this the first time around and want in now?

Hail yeah. I checked yesterday (being 4/1) and they were still listed as out of production. Great to see they are [coming] back. I missed them the first time and have regretted it since.

5 reasons I’ll buy one when they’re back in stock.

1 – Better then wearing a towel around the house.
2 – Summers coming up, and you know your balls will sweat at the range.
3 – No need to fumble with a zipper when you have to use the head.
4 – Way harder to dribble on yourself after doing #1
5 – They look cool with an M4

I sent an email to 5.11 asking if its another April fools joke but haven’t heard from them (I’m sure they are getting lots of the same question). I wear a Utilikilt on a daily basis and this would be a great addition to the lineup.
