Chief Kessler The Loudmouth Douchebag Tantrum Princess is Back

Wow, this is impressive:

You probably don’t remember this insignificant tantrum throwing princess, so here’s a refresher.  I’ve posted a few things on this blog almost  every single day since late 2008 and I can say with complete confidence that this guy takes the cake for douchebaggery.  I’m actually impressed.  I wish I could be like “Oh, he probably is just trying to make a name for himself by doing this… and he took acting lessons to be like that” etc… but no, this is impressive because it’s real.  I honestly can’t believe people like this actually exist, and can function within society in any manner.

This guy is his own worst enemy, which I’m predicting will also be the cause of his own demise almost certainly before he dies of old age.  Probably quite soon if he comes for the politicians with that m4 as he so eloquently stated at the end of the video.  His blood pressure must be through the roof.

Mark-Kessler-Loudmouth-DouchebagWhat a fine representation of Law Enforcement and ambassador of the 2nd Amendment in general. *eye roll* Unsurprisingly if you check his facebook pages, he’s a hero to so many.

Thoughts?

Does buying a 16″ M4 and shooting it without aiming make you a badass? Because if so, I might have to try it out. Seems pretty easy.

  2. Reading Anthracite, the coal company, has banned him from shooting or filming on their property. This guy has far less support than he make you think he has. Even the coal crackers around here can’t tolerate him.

Most of the hardcore, chest-thumpin’, TTAG readin’ types already have a narrow-minded view of LE to begin with. Now you’ve got this asshole who makes both gun owners AND LE look fucking stupid. While our end goal is pretty much the same…I just can’t talk myself into getting “into bed” with these fucking people.

Hahahah, I actually recently made my way to this site thanks to the suggestion of a TTAG reader when I complained about how far right and annoying some of TTAG’s posts are. They can be just as annoying and manipulative as anti-gunners over there. Your comment makes me feel like I landed in the right place.

This place is FAR from perfect, but at least people here don’t take themselves too seriously.

I don’t think Kessler takes himself too seriously and somehow he has become newsworthy. He seems like a person who doesn’t give a fuck.

For those who have not seen it check out his SKS video. Between the printing and his explanation of the bayonet that video warms the cockles of my heart and puts a genuine smile on my face. Kessler may not be the best spokesperson of LE or gun owners but he is not our true enemy.

I think LEOs do a good enough job making themselves look like jackbooted thugs. No need for assistance. But usually comments like yours come from that thick blue wall on the side that thinks LEOs can do no wrong. On the other side, it’s plainly obvious that there is a systemic cultural problem from coast to coast that needs to be addressed. We can start with a Constitution 101 class and arresting and prosecuting cops that abuse their “power.”

TTAG’s readers are just as, if not more, diverse as they are here. Every post over there gets like 100 comments. The vast majority of them are awesome. Same as here.

And as for this “chief” guy, isn’t there some process by which to place someone on a 72 hour involuntary mental health evaluation hold thingy? Maybe a good way for him to detox and settle down for a bit.

There’s that narrow-mindedness I was referring to…automatically assuming that I believe LE’s can “do no wrong”.

That’s funny because I would argue we have a broader view than ever before thanks to YouTube and cell phone cameras. Have fun licking the jackboots that stomp you and your rights. Lemme know how it turns out.

My perception is based primarily on personal experience. We, as in the citizens as a whole, DO have a broader view and understanding of the quasi police state we currently live under thanks to those and other tools. Next time maybe a little less red herring, a little more on topic might do the trick. I think you must have had tough times in school with critical thinking / reading assignments. That thick blue wall is always a tough one to peek over. Try it sometime.

Nice back-pedal, Ace. I’ve got nothing to prove to anyone. Every time you speak (write) adds to the point I’m trying to make. Let me ask you this…how do you feel about the military?

                1. hydepark Avatar
                  hydepark

I’m curious as to why you see that as a back pedal. You act as if I said everyone wearing a badge has horns. I don’t know what the percentage of bad apples is because there’s a culture of inside protection. It’s extremely difficult to find cases where LEO’s are prosecuted under anything resembling equal protection of the law. From the top to the bottom serious criminal actions are punished with firings, demotions, and time off. I want prosecutions. They don’t.

As far as the military my experience has shown far less of a jackboot culture. I know several enlisted guys some of which I graduated high school with. They agree there are bad apples as well but they get ignored and held back for promotions because there is a much higher standard and a greater level of oversight. Their words not mine. My father and mother were career officers. They echo what my friends said in a more political tone.

And it’s still extremely telling that you have yet to concede there is an epidemic cultural issue with cops and abusive or corrupt behavior.

                  1. pointblank4445 Avatar
                    pointblank4445

Here is what I will concede:

In every profession, every group, or every walk of life…there is SHIT. I will be the first to say that I know a fair share of cops who are pieces of shit. Some are bullies, others are douche bags, some are macho wannabe’s that are cowards deep down. For every bad one, I know a good one to balance them out. And in the middle, there are a bunch of guys who put in their 40 hours.

I’ve worked in several industries in my life and I see no more/less corruption in LE as I had in anything else. It’s all the same favoritism, back-stabbing, bureaucracy, and misuse of resources I’ve seen elsewhere. Is there a happy/fair ending when a bad deed comes to light? No. It’s no different in the private sector. Is it right?…Hell, no but that’s the world we live in. LE are people and people are going to be people no matter how they earn a living. Yep, sometimes the bad guy prospers while the good guy gets fucked.

I’m not condoning anything, merely explaining that painting all members of an industry as mindless servants is nowhere near reality. I find it odd that many insist that LE are hell-bent on the infringements of rights when most LE are more afraid of litigation than DEATH (I know a youtube video to illustrate that). About the closest thing I can think of is having to acknowledge whatever flavor of the month your admin/municipality is hot on.

I could talk the in’s and out’s of the industry all day; my tenure in the industry has been eye-opening on many levels. And unless you are prepared to walk a mile in another man’s shoes, there are somethings you may never understand…even with an open mind.

                    1. hydepark Avatar
                      hydepark

I’ll agree with everything you just said except for one thing. When cops mess up and do “bad” people end up in cages at the point of a gun.

You’re right, there are bad people, good people, and in-between people where I work. But when someone abuses their position where I work, the worst that can really happen is the company loses a little time and money, maybe a little public image, maybe someone gets fired. When cops are abusive or authoritarian, the system is set up to favor them to some irrational extremes. At the end of that spectrum, the worst than can happen is you lose your money, your freedom, or your life. Even if you’re guilty of nothing. That’s not good.

I’m not attempting to paint the entire profession with a bad brush, but it is absolutely unacceptable what has happened to myself, friends, and random people I see and hear about all the time. I still believe, no I KNOW there is a systemic problem all the way from the beat cop to Eric Holder and beyond.

What are your opinions about what happened after the Boston bombing? Hundreds if not thousands of members of various agencies putting on costumes and declaring martial law. How many of them were prosecuted for violating any number of Constitutional Amendments? Zero. It needs to stop because at some point they are going to encounter an individual who refuses to be a subject to jackbooted thugs. And that encounter will only make things a whole lot worse for everyone.

                    pointblank4445

I will not lie…If you are referring to the door-to-door search for the little brother prior to the standoff, when I first heard about it, I gritted my teeth and said: “Aw hell, this is going to be bad.” All I will say is that if one were to engage in such tactics, the definition of “exigent circumstances” needs to be crystal fucking clear and articulable. Sadly, too many people on both sides of the fence (police AND citizens) are blissfully ignorant of what an individual’s rights actually are (or are supposed to be).

I’ll go you one better…how about Katrina? I think we can name other recent events that are clearly over the line. In most cases the individual in the local PD who is exploited as an asset of a higher authority is left to make a very tough decision. While I’m sure some could care less, I have little doubt that it puts many in very conflicted place. Some weight integrity and a living differently. If we’re going to “fix” the problem, it needs to be top-down, not from the bottom-up.

As far as the first part goes, I don’t think you give enough credit for the State’s/District Attorneys and the judges that are also involved (and often hold more say) in the legal process. Our SA is notorious for dropping and pleading down to ridiculous lengths no matter how good the case/report or evidence….and we’re talking the people that NEED to go to jail…actual parasites and predators (not the cool movie aliens). But as I’m sure you’re aware, at those levels of the chain, politics weigh heavier…and we all know where that goes.

Not to get all philosophical, but the the problem is inherent in mankind as a whole…a problem that existed long before jackboots ever existed. It’s in our “elected” leaders who claw and scrap for power. Sadly, the folks that work hard and do their job aren’t always up for those jobs while the weasels and assholes bite, claw and fuck their way up the chain.

I think we’ve come to an agreement of sorts. I still have a little trouble reading your first paragraph about exigent circumstances, though. I can’t think of any case where police or other agencies have a right to enact martial law, at least not with disarmament, a suspension of the Constitution, or curfews. The people being ordered from their homes at gunpoint would have been well within their rights to show armed resistance. I don’t see any reason why a manhunt should not have been launched, but as far as I’m concerned we need to see convictions and prison time arise from that case.

And you’re right to point to Katrina as another example. That 90 something year old woman being slammed to the wall by three or four deputies makes my blood boil to this very day. If that were my grandmother, I wouldn’t have stood by and let that go unaddressed. Those men need to be behind bars. Period. They are a menace to peaceful, lawful society as much if not more than any gang member. It’s the difficult times when people show their true colors.

And your point about bottom up, top down, whichever it may be was my original point. There is a problem with the culture and it needs to be addressed. Part of that should mean that we prosecute criminals, whether or not they wear a badge. Firing, leave without pay, etc. are not acceptable and violate the standard of equal protection of law. When I am charged with assault as a citizen, let me know how to resign from my position to avoid being locked in a cage. And the commission of a crime under color of law should carry increased penalties, not decreased.

And saying,”well, I was just following orders” is exactly how railroads dead end at gas chambers. If an order is unlawful or unethical, don’t follow it because if you do, you’ll be prosecuted or worse; the person who you’re trying to subjugate may open fire and justly so.

Now lets look at the flip side of the coin. Do you have any idea how much public perception can dictate policy for for a department…quite a bit. How many millions of dollars are used to settle frivolous and possibly unfounded lawsuits?…a lot.

Atrocities occur…not surprising in times of crisis when the feds have oversight. However, we aren’t in the middle of the 20th century anymore…clubbin’ hippies between visits to the call box. Police do not operate with total impunity…and most have the perception that we’re going out there day to day with our hands tied behind our back because of direct legal reprisal or of being a sacrificial lamb for the brass wishing to save face.

Regarding exigent circumstances, if you are going to make any assertions of a legal nature, you really should be familiar with that term…it’s rather critical.

In regards to your last thought and to sum up this debate/discussion. While there is an agreement that there are problems, I assert that much of what you believe is an actual agenda to subjugate the citizenry is not as such. Rather, it is mostly result of lots of little fish struggling to stay the biggest in their tiny ponds and/or sheer ignorance and stupidity rather than maliciousness. Granted, I can’t speak for some entities in this nation (those who likely do not distinguish between you or me), but I can do so for the blue-collar joe’s I work with on the streets each day.
