Unlucky Tree Gets 300lbs Of Binary Explosive

Cool end result spoiled by the vid screen grab, and the 10 minute video is about 8 minutes too long:

Someone please shit on their record ASAP with 301 lb. Guinness book of records one-upmanship style! :P

Even though it looks like it’s in the middle of nowhere, I wonder how many people called the cops when they heard that explosion?

I’m half convinced that the tree exploded even more than it normally would have, just because Instructor Zero was present.

Instructor-ZeroThe fact there was no slow motion Richard Ryan style footage of this was disappointing.

Watch, some politician will see this and push for a US wide ban to prevent some scumbag doing something bad with it.  I can see it now… “OMG if 300lbs did that, what would happen if someone filled a U-Haul up with this dangerous concoction?!”.  THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS. haha

Thoughts?

Haven’t people been arrested for video taping themselves shooting tannerite, posting it to youtube, and not possessing a FEL?

Seems like trying to break this record could be VERY costly for the average Joe.

One guy got in legal trouble because he blew up a dump truck, and set off earthquake sensors at a nearby power plant. He did it at a quarry, and was safe about it, so the whole thing was IMO a load of shit. Power plant sensors aren’t sacred; they’re just sensors, but “somebody had do to something” so they made an example out of him.

Are you thinking of the guy that blew up a van on his own property which was a few miles from the air force base that was made an example of?

Unless it made the reactor scram.

No, FPSrussia got in a lot of trouble for profiting off of his use of Tannerite and not having a federal explosives license

An uncle used to tell a story about hearing some booms and seeing trees briefly take flight. Seems some guys were clearing them in an entertaining manner.

Today I learned “instructor zero” is a dwarf.

Who gives a fuck how much “tannerite” binary explosive you set off. 500…1000 lbs let’s keep pushing the envelope just some little foreign weirdo can get his mall ninja rocks off. Pointless shit will ruin it for everyone. And MAC…shame on you for joining in this foolishness.

And can we NOT show the logo bag please. We all know what the components are, but your half-assed blur attempt doesn’t help.

Rusty Shakleford May 23, 2014 at 04:37 pm

The bags are Ammonium Nitrate.
