Clear AR-15 Lower Receiver

Yawn, oh look someone came out with another AR-15 receiver:

Yay it’s clear, so that makes it worth buying *face palm*.  I’m seriously so sick of the fact everyone with access to a CNC and injection molding thinks that the world needs another AR-15 lower.  If the market hasn’t reached full retard AR-15 lower saturation already, then I really don’t have my finger on the pulse at all.  I just can’t wait until the tipping point, when all of these fly by night companies (not saying TN Arms in particular is fly by night, I’ve just never heard of them) have thousands of receivers and no buyers.  With some of the sales I’ve been seeing recently, that seems to be partially happening.

Oh and if you wanted to buy this clear receiver by TN Arms Co, well tough shit you can’t buy it.  Yep… not even listed on their receivers’s page.

Assault-Rifle-Because-I-Am-BlackThoughts?  Is clear the new black?

  1. It’s transparent aluminum!

It’s a neat novelty thing, but I wouldn’t buy one. Unless maybe I had money flowing out of my ears.

Maybe they should paint them black? Or offer various translucent colors?

I think that the market for obnoxiously colored AR15 lowers is under served. They should make this hot pink with glitter flakes suspended in the polymer. They would probably sell a shitload of them.

What no clear HK or Lancer magazine?!?! Marketing FAIL!!!

  4. Its actually a sinister plot by the liberals to raise taxes by interjecting products with an assumed shelf life of a mere 3 years and or 10 hot days in the sun when the material degrades due to UV exposure, yellowing and cracking…. unlike boring aluminum

    ♫Choices always were a problem for you…♫

Yeah it really sucks having a horde of innovators trying to please their fellow man and bring choices to market. It’s completely sane to really angry when someone makes a product that doesn’t appeal to YOU SPECIFICALLY.

    First world problems.

  7. I think it’s cool to see it function, although it’s just for the public, as you’re not supposed to watch your lower receiver while shooting… Better have a transparent handguard and barrel, to see that mean lil’ bullet flying out of the chamber, and get blind from the light.

Wasn’t there a company that made clear polymer Saiga-12 mags? I think they said they stopped because the clear polymer was inherently weaker and degraded easier, it was also near impossible for them to be made without bubbles in the material.

  9. Sorry Mike but … I think I want one! I have to have at least 1 REAL ‘Ghost Gun’ being a CA native haha
