Ding Dong Breaching Tool

Sounds like this is only for operators:

Gerber-Ding-Dong-Breaching-Tool

haha I love the name.  Looks like it’s dog friendly too *zing* , so I’m not mad at that!

Good looking tool.  So operator that it comes with that MOLLE mounting plate and a lifetime warranty too.

More info over at Gerber.

Thoughts?  Would no-knock raid with?

So it is a “tactical” sledgehammer?

Gerber is vying for Radley Balco’s soul.

Uhhh, the prybar works a whole lot better if you can hit it with a hammer and get some bite on the door. That’s why firefighters carry a halligan and an axe.

People that will buy this don’t know how to swing a sledgehammer correctly anyway. That prybar/handle is not conducive to a good & proper swing. I sense that the target market is the mall ninja ding dongs.

ding dong?….DING DONG?!?!? So they’re going to market it under a grade-school euphemism for a dick?

No. Would not no-knock raid with. At all. No knocking is a good way to get a .30-06 to the chest by people who still belive in the fourth ammendment

I think I am in the clear keeping my Stanley Fubar in the trunk of my car. Not sure if having a Ding Dong stowed back there is a good idea if I am ever harassed by law enforcement. My Operator level is greater than firefighter, but still less than no knock swat team door breacher. Will have to pass on this.

the ding dongs who buy this breaching tool will far out weigh any actual police use unfortunately.

great, more tchotchke for inept SWAT teams to use while shooting grandma in the chest and setting babies on fire. Thanks Obama!

Blackhawk has been making breaching tools (including sledges) for years. Gerber is a late adopter.

Great looking is barely all it is. Blackhawk did the same thing several years, tried to make some Forcible Entry (FE) tools that succeeded in making it harder to get in a door. You know who does FE really well? Firefighters. A 30″ ProBar and Denver (TNT) Tool is all you need for solid FE.

How much does this thing weigh(sp), and you want me to strap it on and schlep it all over kingdom come? I can see it in a vehicle but not strapped to me.

Talk about a perfect anti-zombie weapon! Got your narrow, pointy end for piercing the skull and killing the brain, a heavy smacking end for when passion calls for a less-than-artistic application of the DD, and it also features a “Give me muh space!” flat end to create enough maneuvering room for either of the above options.
