Larry Vickers’ HK VP9 Review

The LAV Larry Vuitton takes a look:

Drink every time Larry does a hand gesture.

That spiderweb grip always reminds me of some vato prison elbow tats.  Gangsta.

I like Larry’s vids on this chan… very good info and he knows his shit.

Larry-Vickers-Louis-Vuitton-ParodyI don’t know what I look like in slow motion shooting my G17, but when larry shoots that VP9 it looks like the recoil is exaggerated like he’s shooting some sort of 20mm hand canon with little girl wrists.  Like I said though, maybe that’s how much flip I get too *shrug*

Thoughts?  Any of you guys pick one up yet?  Plan on getting one?

“trigger dynamics” the new tactical word everyone will be using for the next 6months.

    Good review.

  2. I believe he’s done consulting work for HK before (if I remember from an old Tac TV episode), maybe still does even. That being said, I wish he’d disclose that at the beginning of his videos.

    1. I hear you. A lot of these “review” videos on YouTube are just advertisements. Pay attention to certain catch phrases that are mentioned in one video, as they tend to be in other videos. All he has to do is disclose HK sent him the pistol, which he did. Most YouTube “reviews” don’t even do that.

Yeah, he consulted on the HK45 with Hackathorn IIRC

I don’t see how this is him merely paying lip service to HK. If people are butt-hurt about him getting a gun early, anybody is welcome to apply for their “test” program if they meet the criteria.

    1. Considering he mentions two striker guns (from a growing field) and crowns the VP9 king of the pile without so much as mentioning he’s had range time with any of them?

I’m sure the VP9 is good stuff. But this is hardly an objective review.

I took it as a given since he’s done full television episodes on the M&P, multiple on the Glock, and even the First Strike. And he was one of the first people to talk about the Caracal before many knew what the hell it was. Trigger time and experience with the field is a non issue.

The man was in 1st SFOD-D, aka Delta Force… Of course he’s shot the Glock and Walther.

  4. It’s on my list to get, but first I gotta get them sweet Chris Costa tactical luggage sets. (with velcro!).

    The LAV is da bidness.

  5. I thought he fit a lot of data into this video and found it quite useful. Looks like a nice pistol. Always wanted to pick up a P30 to go with my HK45 but I’m liking this one more now and it’s cheaper!

After shooting so many “skinnies” in the Battle of the Black Sea Larry is putting on a little weight so worthless commentards like yourself have a better chance of landing a shot.

78 and a half useless hand gestures.
