Suppressed Shotgun Drone Hunting Trailer

Silencerco x Johnny Dronehunter the defender of privacy:

haha!  That’s really awesome.  People just don’t “get it” though apparently:

ummm just a thought… why use a silencer in the desert? against a toy? cool video but just another hollywood plot that dosen’t fulfill reality. And… I love my Guns but would never buy a silencer that adds an extra 1-2ft to a shotgun. -Atom RC

And another response from the same guy:

me? I dont give a shit about the knockoff Phantom. Because of those “toys” my hobby is falling to shit. I dont need stupid videos like this threatening my rights to bear arms as well. Shit who knows, the FAA may start coming after weapons since they launch devices into airspace. I did research the silencer, and personally love my silenced weapons, but would never silence a shotgun. If im using a shotgun its for two reasons… home defense and duck hunting. neither of which it matters to be quiet. -Atom RC

Silencerco-Suppressor-Shotgun*facepalm*.  I’m looking forward to the full video, because it says this one is only a trailer!

Thoughts?

Boy those SilencerCo boys sure know how to have fun. When I finally get around to suppressing my nines and NATO rifles, I’m going with them.

Do people realize that in order to take down a real deal drone you would require something along the lines of an F15? These toys (while fun) are not the real thing to be afraid of.

Yea! Real military drones aren’t quadcopters either as far as I know!

      1. I hadn’t really thought about it until now, but they’re pretty much all turbofan nacelles and wings

      2. The drone I have carried on ops is about a pound and a half and roughly the size of a dinner plate. And yes it is a quadcopter.

You do realize that the military doesn’t just use the predator drones right?

    Commercial Quadcopter + 1/2 lb C4 = DIY Mini-Me Hellfire Missile

    A toy indeed.

All you need to make a weaponized drone is a trip to the lego store and a 100 dollar rc airplane

Not too expensive, but I forgot how much a lego mindstorms nxt cost

Weaponized drone with Legos? Most dangerous if you fly them into your target’s open bedroom window and drop those little four-cell Lego pieces between the bed and the bathroom.

Bare feet + Legos = Agony of De Feet

Heh, those lego nxt computers can be quite useful once I made a paintball turret that could track selected targets, or be used in remote control.

          Fun times

Nothing I like more than letting off a 3″ shell full of 00 Buck inside a small room. No need for the shotgun to be any quieter.

    1. Not to mention, seeing as how you’d be FAR less likely to be wearing cans on your ears in the middle of the night when people kick in the door – a situation in which the benefit of a suppressor would be immediately realized. The other situations (duck hunting, at the range, w/e) I’d be wearing cans even with a suppressor on a gun anyway.

Can I use this to xhoot down all those annoying little rc helicopters at the mall?
