FPSRussia And The Silencerco Salvo 12 Shotgun Suppressor

FPS-RussiaMaybe it was just me, but the shotgun seemed louder in first part of this video than in the promo videos.  I’m sure the sensitive mic setup he’s likely running has a lot to do with that though.  Later on when he was shooting clays it seemed so much quieter.

Holy that thing is large though.  Looks like another shotgun receiver and a half attached the the front of the barrel.  I can’t imagine it’s all that light either.

ahhaha the Justin Bieber mannequin.

Thoughts?

Well, it does come in 3 lengths, for people who are willing to accept more noise in return for less bulk. I wonder if you can get a master kit so you can make it longer or shorter at will? That would be great!

It’s louder because it didn’t go through all the audio filters a marketing department would use like in SilencerCo’s official video *cough*

The literature I read when they 1st introduced it said that it’s ‘modular’ for weight/length and decibel-level adjustment. It arrives full length and you can take sections out as desired if you want, but you sacrifice suppression. 132 dB at the full 12″, to (still pretty damn good) 140 dB at 6″. A Serbu Super Shorty w/that thing on it would be fun as hell.

Comically large. Only way I can see this being practical is an integrally suppressed shotgun.

Might have been louder on camera because he was shooting at that big, flat wall and it was reflecting the sound back.
