Sons Of Anarchy Glock Hammer Cocking Sound

Dear Hollywood, Glocks do not have external hammers:

Glock-Revolver-21RI love how they think it wouldn’t be dramatic enough to just have someone pick a loaded gun up and have it not make a sound.  Sure the script would have to be written a bit differently because if you’re just pointing a gun at someone like in the case of the Wayne Unser clip shown, Juice would have had to say something or do something else in order to get his attention… big deal though.

If Glock came out with a polymer frame revolver with an external hammer, Hollywood would love it.

Thoughts?  Does this bug you or do you not even notice?

What about Sons Of Anarchy too huh? Like with The Walking Dead, I go through stages and seasons of loving/hating the show. Oh well SOA is on it’s last season now so whatever happens happens.

That was from last season, but yea really bad.

  1. People are still watching SOA? That show jumped the shark for me on the first episode of last season.

    1. Nah, it was WAAAAY before that…I like to think it was when they dicked around in Ireland for a whole season.

Ugh yea that Ireland bullshit was the worst.

  2. I can’t stand when glocks get cocked. bugs the shit out of me.

  3. Around the time I stopped watching the show, I recall Gemma cocking a glock in Ireland. And I was all like “what the hell? Mine are all missing their hammers!”

  4. I actully laughed when I was watching this with my gf yesterday. She was like what’s so funny? I replied where’s the hammer? She was like what’s a hammer. Then I was like fuck it I’m not explaining anymore.

But ya this show used to be my fav. But it’s jumped the shark. With all the dead ends and repeat of shit Jemma does it annoys the shit out of me.

    1. this could have been a nice opening for sexytime “i’ll show you the hammer…”. whatever you get up to, has to be better than watching SOA (even taking a fiberglass Stanley out of a toolbox)

  5. I immediately commented on this when watching the episode as well.

I keep watching it since I already watched the rest but I’ve told a few people I don’t recommend it if you haven’t started. Started out great but tried way to hard to be deep and edgy as the seasons went on.

  6. My wife got mad at me for calling this out while watching the season premiere this week. Glad I’m not the only one!

Mine finally got on board and started calling out this crap on shows!

“Why was he pointing the gun at him if it wasn’t chambered?”

  7. After 97 people told me I had to watch this show, me and my girlfriend have now watched 5 seasons and think it’s the stupidest popular show on tv right now. We’ve only made it 5 seasons deep because we love making fun of the ridiculous action sequences, terrible writing and horrible acting. What a god awful show.

    1. Agree 100%. It has to be the worst acted drama I’ve ever seen. But it’s kind of like a train wreck. You can’t look away since you might just see the absolute worst thing ever and you kind of want to say you were there as a witness.

  8. Thats why you carry a SA pistol with the hammer down and one in the chamber.

That way you can easily make the dramatic sound by cocking the hammer.

  9. the Glock hammer click happens on pretty much every episode of the original “Law & Order” and the spinoffs.
The collection of writers that the creator, Dick Wolf, assembled over the years are clearly the most gun-ignorant bunch contributing to television.

  10. I watched this episode and it made me realize I wasn’t my time watching this show. I won’t see it through.

And yea, I chuckled each time the glock hammer got cocked.

    1. *wasted.

I hate gun inaccuracies. I almost turned off the first episode of the waking dead because of the “glock safety comment” but I stuck with it and I love the show. But the walking dead is the worst when it comes to gun inaccuracies and lingo. ” rick hands Carl m16, magazine goes here, rounds feed up, pull the operating rod, pull the trigger for rapid fire”. Barffff, who the hell wrote this. two finger trigger pulls, m16 no rear sights. Cross draw derp.

  12. It bugs me because it’s so painfully, horribly obvious that there was nothing happening to make that sound…

  13. Worse was The Wire. I hated it every time someone would rack a double-barrel shotgun. Drove me freakin nuts

  14. It’s a fun show, in a trashy kinda way.

  15. This is my favorite in general. Okay you cocked the hammer to show you’re serious. So… it wasn’t cocked before? What were you going to do then if you didn’t have time to dramatically cock it, hit him with it?

    1. DA/SA pistols were made for that purpose.

  16. im so glad im the only one who noticed this and it bugged the hell out of me. It happend several times in this episode. I kept saying “What the F*ck”

  17. I thought I was the only one to notice this. Pretty hilarious.

Just happened in the last scene of the most recent “The Blacklist” episode (S03E08). Drives me crazy every time. And really shows how STUPID a lot of Hollywood folks are.
