2015 Glocks With The Slide Cut For A Micro Red Dot Sight

PERFECTION… INNOVATION!

Glock-40-g40-slide-cut-red-dot

Kiesler Police Supply had the pics.  I highly doubt this is a “LEAK” as people are calling it.  Allegedly, this will initially come on models: G40, G41, G34, and G35.

*yawn*… wake me up when Glock puts out their perfection polymer rifle at SHOT to trump all rifles.  I do think the slide cutout for the red dot is cool and all, but I could have got that done already at any number of aftermarket companies for years now.  Hopefully the price point on these cutout Glocks will fall below what it would cost you to get a 3rd part to do it.  It actually should be cheaper if you think about it, because they are using a bit less steel and don’t have to include a rear sight (if you’re ordering it without the red dot).  Trijicon sure makes some nice looking stuff.  I really hope they hid bible verses on the bottom of these red dots (or even inside them) just to troll people.

Glock-Diamond-Bedazzled-Pendant-JewelryNow that I think about it… this may help get my targets on round after I do consecutive forward rolls.  Whatever helps!  That’s why I always rock notch hats and derp satchels.

P.S. Guys { *no tactical girls :( *single… no wait, this just in… multiple tears* } keep asking me if I’m going to SHOT.  I do not plan on going this year.  I know I need to check it out sometime… sounds crazy busy though.  Wading through huge crowds has never been my thing.  Wait does SHOT have FASTPASSES like at Disney?  That would rule.

Thoughts?

They still put bible verses on civilian products, including the RMR. Only on their military production lines can they no longer include them.

      ah ok thanks!

  2. I don’t get the optic on a service gun thing. I don’t think I’d ever carry a service gun with an optic, and competing with one puts you in open division in every discipline I can think of. If I went to open, it would be with an STI or heavily modified CZ Tactical Sport.

That said, it’s your money. Do what you want. And you can always take the optic off and compete in production or limited.

One of the other commenters below mentioned it still had the sights peeking out behind.. I see those now. Thoughts on that if the red dot is quick disconnect in case of problems? (note: I’m not sure if it actually is QD)

      1. The ones built properly have suppressor sights so removal in the event of a problem isn’t strictly necessary.

The issue I have is that a slide-mounted optic moves a bunch more than a frame-mounted one like you typically see on open division guns. Only Jerry Miculek (PBUH) runs a slide-mounted optic in open USPSA as far as I know. If you aren’t superhuman, you’ll likely get better results from the frame-mounted option. In any case, I can’t use either worth a damn, and I’m poor, so an open gun isn’t in my budget. I’d be very lucky to sneak a limited division build. And I’d be really lucky if a more expensive gun pushed my name any further up the list.

You must be selling plenty of shirts from the comfort of your own home for you to ignore THE BIGGEST TRADE SHOW in the business. Scale up son! You make the best RKBA/2A shirts around. Although, to be fair, I would probably be pissed if every asshole started wearing ENDO shirts everywhere, and I would probably stop buying them. However, by then you’d be selling to the masses and eating with the classes.

Thanks Jim I appreciate the compliment. Yea SHOT is definitely on the agenda someday!

  6. Where’s the single stack 9mm everybody said was “definitely coming out”…2016 maybe? It’s not too late to attend SHOT, sure there’s no hotel rooms available in Vegas but who needs to sleep in that town?

Maybe they are going to sneak that single stack 9mm out on press day? I think that’s what happened last year with the g42.

That’s impressive that everything gets sold out every time there is a big conference!

  7. “and don’t have to include a rear sight”

I see a rear sight on the photo, just behind the RMR. It’ll be obscured by the RMR body, but you could change them out for a set of aftermarket suppressor-height sights.

I see them now! Thanks for the heads up. I wonder if that red dot is quick disconnect of some type, so cops can rip them off if they have problems and use those sights?

  8. But ENDO Mike, SHOT has the best booth babes around! Seize the moment.

I’ve been using an RMR equipped Glock 17 for a few years now. It’s neat that Glock is finally catching up to a decade of improvements others have been making to their guns. Of course they failed to use suppressor sights so the irons are useless when the is RMR mounted, making the whole setup clunky and slow to use…but hey, step in the right direction I guess?

I speculated on maybe a quick disconnect feature on the red dot in a comment above. *shrug* who knows though.

  11. I thank Glock for including cheap, plastic dovetail fillers instead of more expensive lame factory sights I’d just have to replace anyway. If your red dot optic does go down, you don’t need a “quick disconnect”, you just look through the red dot using your iron sights.

ah ok I didn’t know they cleared the red dot or is a notch in the reddot.
