Costa jumped the shark long before his Japan trip.
I don’t get the criticism going on with this guy. In terms of firearms use, is he superior than most readers here? Does he deserve the money he charges for firearms training? Would you do the money making gigs he’s doing if you had his superstar presence? I’d guess the answer is yes to all three for the honest here and no to the jealous.

A lot of people be jelly up in hurr. Costa’s milking the fan-boyism like its going out of style, and you all know we’d do the exact same thing ’cause we’re all whores for that next dollar. To be fair, the Magpul Dynamic videos sexified the tactical trainer market and kudos to him if he can get Japenese school girls to wet themselves from his street-cred alone.
Yeah, gun trainers are supposed to be dignified warrior monks who only pocket a dollar when they’ve earned it via a training session approved by the gun community on the internet… Costa is wiping away his tears of shame with 10k yen bills.
Yeager says you’re all haters and Costa is legit because he made money. Really, what the hell. This is how crap gets started like racking a shotgun is a deterrent.
I’ll always respect Costa on the fact alone that he brought countless ‘average joes’ to the shooting world through his Magpul videos, who then support the 2A after realizing how awesome shooting is. Those ‘average joes’ then got their GFs/wives to shoot, and they too now support the 2A.
That alone is worth countless gold, in my book.

Such posturing but Guy has skills, no doubt. I won’t hate on him for doing his thing, but it’s a shame that chasing that buck is the god of our culture. Also, that creepy smile of his is liable to be the stuff of nightmares.
