Hope it’s better than the old yellow model. Mine won’t kill a fly at 6″. But it will still stun them so I can step on them, and I guess that’s still more fun than a fly swatter.

I’ve only had instant kills if you get a grain to penetrate one of the eyes which is the only way to cause catastrophic drop in “blood pressure”, since flies have an open circulatory system that really only works on ambient pressure.
I’ve found that a clean hit to the thorax inside of 2′ will be fatal, but unless you damage the muscles or nerves that enervate the wing the fly will fly away, but this is much like a deer taking a round through both lungs and running a mile. They do end up stopping and dying, even without follow-ups, and you will notice fly populations shrinking.
Where does one get that many flies? What is the sand table made of? Rotten meat?

She loves it and it does work well.
Sometimes, it would only stun them. But, that makes it easy do smash them while they twitch.
Hope they got permission to use the Battlefield 1942 music. Gonna have to go play that again now.
