Ammunition Vending Machine

Beaver county Pennsylvania sheriff candidate with this clever idea:

ammo-vending-machine

A vending machine operated by a candidate for Beaver County Sheriff that distributes firearms ammunition is raising some eyebrows. The machine is installed inside of the Beaver Valley Rifle & Pistol Club, offering both rifle and handgun ammunition and operating in the same fashion as vending machines commonly used to sell snack foods.

A lot of stupidity in the comments if you follow the above link.  People love being experts on topics they know nothing about.

To make this even cooler, the sheriff candidate in question Sam Piccinini (too bad surnames aren’t legal to use in Scrabble right?), actually owns the company which manufacturers the ammo.  He had the idea for the vending machine because a lot of members at that range couldn’t find non-jacketed ammo anywhere in stores.

Related note: How epic of a name is the “Beaver Countian”.  Such a great ring to it ahah.

Better county name: Years ago there was a story about a animal control shelter in KY that I actually called on. They were in the news because someone discovered they were using a .22 to “put down ” animals that weren’t returned to owner or adopted out. That would be too expensive these days but back then they dye it because it was cheap and didn’t require the licensing for the euthanasia drug. The name of the county? Bullit County of course!

Animal control in a lot of places will use .22lr pistols to kill animals in certain areas if they are causing issues. Also the cattle industry uses “free bolt stunners” which are .22lr single shot handguns, how is that any different?

As far as the vending machine goes, my only question is; what happens if it gets stuck? I’m sure everyone here has had a vending machine fail to give you the item you paid for, now imagine that that item is a bag of $21 ammo. I would be quite pissed.

  4. Knob Creek Gun Range and Fort Knox are in Bullit County.

This place is 20 minutes from where i live and about an hour outside pittsburgh (alltho the people still consider themselves pittsburghers.) one of the best sportsmans clubs ive been to-no snobby rich guys, tons of ranges, no mag limits, full auto allowed. I took a carbine course there and loved the place.

The irresponsible Buffon who came up with this Idea should be heald as an accessory to any crime that was committed with these products…. oh, he got elected president. what next… I know, hand out guns to overstressed, overworked, underpaid teachers who are about to go postal…. or maybe handout guns to people who escaped from mental hospitals.
