Gunny Lights Up A Vintage E-Class And Might Steal Your Girl

This guy works hard and is cool as the other side of the pillow:

The Gunny, R. Lee Ermey, will get a chance to scratch his itchy trigger-finger as he plays with some fabulous weapons and weaponized vehicles, and consults with some top-notch experts. And, as only The Gunny can do, he will show our audience the way in his famous indomitable style when it comes to the world’s most fabulous weaponry.

R-Lee-Ermey-GunnyThe video was a trailer for his new show called Gunny Time (am I the only one without a show for real?).

I’d dabble with this show too (along with Jerry’s) as long as I can find a way to watch it.  Starts April 15th on the Outdoor Channel.

Thoughts?  Will watch?  Did Gunny ever steal your girl? *insert sad frog meme here about me not having a girl for him to steal*

Lol I had to look up what a Normie is.

  2. This guy is a hypocrite, with the commercials he’s in and the things he says – you’d think he’d vote with this feet and move to a freedom loving state. Instead he lives in Palm Springs, CA where he can’t even own any the new Glocks he’s peddling.

  3. hmm.. isnt that blanks?

      Damnit all to hell.

I wanted to be the first to point that out.

  4. I’m over “The Funny Gunny”.
Full Metal Jacket, Firebase Gloria, Boys in Company C were the only things decent he was in and not even because of him. (Okay maybe Firebase Gloria because of him) All he does is yell the same oohrah DI crap he’s said since the 80s.

Then whine about how Hollywood doesn’t like conservatives while taking any acting he can get.

    Yawn.

    1. he was in Saving Silverman. Excellent performance too :)

Fuck all that noise. Drinking heavily and watching this guy blow shit up on TV is fun. If you don’t like it, that’s all right. Just go back to watching “The View”.

  6. Don’t be a gunny hater. I got an autograph from him at the SHOT show the one time I went, and he seemed like a decent guy just like he presents himself on tv.
Would operate with will try to catch some of the show. Sounds a lot like the old Mail Call show which was kind of fun in little 1/2 hour bits.

    1. In person, he’s okay but it’s simply an old act. We’ve been through mail call, lock and load, and now this.

He’ll shoot watermelons, read off a cue card, say SemperFi and that’s it. “Sounds good” you say?

It is the same schtick since 2002. It’s sad.

If he HAD to be involved with something, why not a Tales of the Gun revamp with better research, updated developments, and a more academic approach.

Imagine an hour devoted to tracing the lineage of the AR-10 to the present day SR-25. Same with the HK G3. He does Glock, why not an in depth history of Glock? No….just blowing up melons and hollering ‘OORAH! Semper Fi’.

If he MUST force his bizarre cult on us, why not do an episode detailing MARSOC and the current and former Marine Raiders. From Reisings and Garands to MP7s and M110k1s.

That’s my bitch. It’s the same shit. It was cool to take a break from emu video games and power drinking to watch “The Gunny” back then but now that I am not some punk kid…..he’s hard to take seriously or enjoy. He’s like the crazy uncle with the whole pull my finger bit. HILARIOUS when you’re a kid. But it is getting on in time and now it just seems….sad.

      1. I agree with everything you’re saying but I place more blame on TV and marketing execs, not the actor. He gives them what they want, and they want it because they think that’s what the viewing public wants to see over and over again. They are the ones writing the shows and come up with these stupid ideas fake explosions and manufactured drama. I would love to see more tales of the gun, with more in depth information.

  7. As long as he bangs away with that PKM, I’m a fan.

Anyone who wants to shoot up a Benz is OK with me. Lord knows I wanted to do the same thing to the wifey’s C320 on multiple occasions.

  9. Wasn’t aware a 1998 W210 was considered “vintage” these days?

  10. Pretty sure those were .308 blanks rolling onto the ground from that mini gun
