Extremely Slow Commenting

Hey Everyone,

The commenting has been extremely slow lately I know.  I really appreciate everyone who has been waiting it out, while their comment chugged along through the server.  I’m going to try to fix it soon, and I’ll keep you posted.  I’m also going to implement reply notification and post comment notification (which I had setup before) for your convenience.

Sentinel-Concepts-Derp-ScanThanks again,

-ENDO-Mike

P.S. – Already made some speed improvements in commenting. Trying a couple more things soon.

anyway of not having comments take you to a new page, like a dropdown bar you can view if you want or keep hidden?

Do you mean load or not load all the comments directly off the homepage rather than clicking the comments link?

I think, I mean when you click “comment” it shows you all the comments but you are still on the homepage, then you click again to hide them, not sure if its possible tho

I’d like to be able to edit my comments for a few minutes after posting. Most of my commenting time is around 6am and I’m still half asleep/drunk, whatever, and my comments are botched to all hell. It’s only after I click submit that my ninja proofreading skills kick in, but, it’s too late by then.

What kills me the most (and you’ve commented on it a bunch before, so IIRC you can’t control it) is the youtube previews duplicating all up and down the page. I think it’s a cache issue or something.

Yeah I get that if I scroll down the page before the first embed loads. If I wait for the first embed to load it doesn’t do that.
