007

Doesn’t really give much away:

Makes me want to see it though.  The release date November 9, 2012.

I wonder if Bond’s PPK will shoot the entire cartridge like Omega thinks happens?  They didn’t even bother to fix it on the omega website either, which tells me that either no one emailed them and made fun of them yet, they are lazy, or just don’t care.

I’m looking forward to the the day when Bond goes back to wearing a Rolex.

Thoughts?

Some very neat special effects in this one:

I especially liked the blue shell from Mario Kart at the end.  I had no idea what some of the other games they were referencing were… still cool though.

I liked playing multiplayer in 007 Golden Eye with the Golden Gun.  I should specify ONLY ON N64.  I played that bullshit on my cousin’s Wii… what a load of garbage.  Maybe i’m just too old for the Wii but I thought I was going to puke even when watching someone else play.

Celebrating 50 years of 007 with a new watch, and by trolling us with this:

Does anyone that’s not less than 12 years old actually think that the whole cartridge fires out of the barrel? Something I’d expect from a smaller company, not Omega.

The whole animation can be viewed right on the homepage of Omega’s website or here:

I know some of you are going to cry “Artistic license!”  … to that I say “PuhLeeeeez”.

Again… not a “bullet”.  I’m glad I ditched my Omega Seamaster for a Rolex Submariner.

Thoughts?  How long do you think it will be until they realized their mistake and change it?

Late-May of 1956, James Bond author Ian Fleming received a politely critical letter from a firearms expert named Geoffrey Boothroyd.  It Began:

I have, by now, got rather fond of Mr. James Bond. I like most of the things about him, with the exception of his rather deplorable taste in firearms. In particular, I dislike a man who comes into contact with all sorts of formidable people using a .25 Beretta. This sort of gun is really a lady’s gun, and not a really nice lady at that. If Mr. Bond has to use a light gun he would be better off with a .22 rim fire; the lead bullet would cause more shocking effect than the jacketed type of the .25.

May I suggest that Mr. Bond be armed with a revolver?

All valid points.

Ian Fleming was impressed with the letter, and wrote a classy response:

Then the coolest thing happens.  Fleming introduces a “service armorer” into the Dr. No book, and names him Major Boothroyd! The character also appeared in later films. (wiki)

Excuse me while I go craft letters to authors, and movie directors on why they should use Glocks in an effort to get a character named after me. :P

You can even change out the front wheel for a ski, pretty funny!  I’ve got a nice bike (by my standards anyways… a Specialized Rockhopper FS Comp) so i’ve been out of the bike market for a while… but it seems to me the frame they built this on what looks like a ladies frame, or is that some sort of new design?

You can read more about the BOND bike – HERE

According to the creator there are no plans to sell the bike.
