accident

What? Black powder is explosive?  Who would have thought…

Of course there’s the classic shaky camera, and no footage after the event.  I think it’s safe to say the guy shooting filled his lungs white smoke at the very least, and possibly even got some bad burns in the process judging by the flames at around 0:06.   No safety glasses on either… not ideal.

Has anyone else witnessed, or done something similar?

I hope his hearing eventually recovered, but part of me doubts it:

Anyone ever seen something similar, or had that happen to them?

The picture is of blog reader (and recent 5.11 polo shirt & pants winner) Brent in Afghanistan.  I thought it was fitting for this post.

Sure they deal with a lot of expensive cars and even wreck some of them.  Nothing that would cost this much though:

During a filming of the Korean Top Gear, an AH1 Cobra helicopter was being used to film a Corvette in the Arizona desert, when the pilot lost control. Amazingly, both helicopter pilots were treated at the scene and walked away unharmed.

Pretty funny.  I hope for the sake of the pilot’s self esteem and job they will find something went haywire with the avionics.  Wikipedia lists the 1994 price of the AH1 helicopter as $11.3M… OUCH!

Maybe the damage will just buff out?

Yep, they accidentally shot a cannonball 700 yards into a residential neighborhood:

Yikes… someone should get fired for that one.   Lucky no one died.

Chances are since no one got hurt, and they are famous, my guess is they’ll just laugh it off and it will be business as usual.

Thoughts?

Wow this sucks for him:

Somehow I doubt  bayonet damage is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
Maybe if he paid with a credit card recently though he might be covered?

Those long bayonets are deadly for so many reasons. :P

Any of you ever have a funny gun accident that ended up costing you money?

Gives a new meaning to spray and pray:

Apparently shooting guns off in celebration is common practice at weddings in the Middle East. Try using both hands next time dumbass.

After he finishes shooting, what he’s says is roughly translated as “My bad guys… my bad!”
