Warns New South Wales Australia Police Commissioner:

Yeah, exactly.  I’m surprised I haven’t seen lots of Liberator related injury stories already on the internet.

Sure there are obviously different quality levels of 3d Printing.  They admittedly did their test on a cheap $700 printer, but I think it does a good job of making their point.

Thoughts?

This guy is the worst:

He may be on our side, but as I said before he’s the Australian Nickelback of gun songs, and I mean that in the most non-flattering way possible.  Even the videos are so “Hey look I own a digital SLR and exploit the shit out of depth of field!”.  I wish I knew he washed dishes at a truck stop or something full time and just did this music thing on the side, but sadly I think his career is making these terrible songs up and touring across Australia singing them with his family.

Anyone pick up that terrible CD of his?  $8.99 at Amazon if you’re in need of an ironic gift for someone.

Thoughts?

Kind of looks like a Hi-Point to me. In other news, the government is now working on a cloud vacuum to quickly eradicate future gun clouds.

ANY ITEM that looks like a gun will have to be licensed under several changes to the Weapons Act being considered by the Queensland State Government. Even guns made out of materials as unlikely as soap or plastic may have to be kept under lock and key if they could “reasonably be taken to be a weapon”.

Failure to license an imitation weapon will carry a maximum $4500 fine under the proposals and incorrect storage carries a penalty of $750.

Wow, and I thought the UK was nuts.

I posted about Steve Lee a couple of times in the past (HERE and HERE) because of his “I Like Guns” song.

This video and song has a different tone to it though.  Steve seems VERY sedated in this one … Maybe those oppressive Australian gun laws are getting the best of him?

I thought the original “I like Guns” song was catchy, and the video was neat to watch.   This song though is just flat out depressing… excuse me while I go finish off my bucket of Coldstone ice cream while sobbing  and reminiscing of a time when gun laws were not so restrictive.

For the love of god, cheer up Steve.

While I’m picking apart the video, I figured it was worth mentioning I thought it was odd that at 1:55 min he takes his cocked revolver (finger on the trigger) and points it at the roof while singing and not paying attention.  Then the next scene after that he’s shooting at metal popper targets from probably about 5 yards away, where he hits his first target.. then blatantly puts the next shot high into the (particle board?) backstop.  Not that it’s a big deal that he missed (I miss all the time), I just thought it was funny to include in the video.

Questionable trigger and muzzle control on behalf of the guy that is getting the guns handed to him. I don’t even like to be swept with toy guns, never mind real ones.  The song sounds good though.
