bolt action

Looks like a lot of R&D and money behind this one:

It looks really nice. I hope it works out well for Daniel Defense.  Probably good to have at least one foot out of the door before that inevitable AR-15 market crash I’ve been forecasting.

Available for $2200 on the Daniel Defense website.  I don’t really know enough about comparable bolt action rifles to know if that price hits some sort of sweet sport or not.

Oh wow… just… wow:

It’s called “Easy-Bolt” and is available on pre-order for $150 with Spring 2017 delivery.  This single shot demo is for California compliance:

Here’s the installation video in case you care.  Looks like the kit is only available for

LOL damn guys… just when I thought I’d seen it all.

According to the YouTube comments, the company is making the bolt handle on the left side on the production version. This is for obvious reasons, because currently if you’re pulling the trigger with your right hand you have to switch hands to work the bolt.

Thoughts?  Do you live outside of CA and just want to get one of these for trolling purposes? I’m honestly considering it haha.

You can pick one up from ThinkGeek for $50 (if they ever get them back in stock)

I could have sworn my dad had a Rotring pen with the same action 20 years ago.  At that time it was just considered a pen though, and not re-branded to be “tactical” in order to sell a million of them to COD and Airsoft nerds.

I wouldn’t buy 99% of the stuff on ThinkGeek because collecting random crap is not something I do.  There is that 1% of their products though, that are so clever I almost want to buy them.
