Medium capacity assault anyone?

I like the look of the magazine, and it seems to work well… but I gotta ask why?  To get 20 measly more rounds than 1 single standard AR-15 magazine, and 10 rounds less than carrying two and the width of around 5 magazines?  Seems to me that carrying two mags would take up less room, and be compatible with every pouch on the planet… not to mention you also have the assurance that if one fails you still have 30 rounds (hopefully) in magazine #2.  I guess what I’m trying to get at is if you want sustained automatic fire you might as well go with a 100 rounder for maximum fun.  Those though are even more bulky and awkward…

Made by XS Products who also make a load of other drum magazines.  Their name is confusingly similar to XS Sights, but as far as I can tell the two companies are not related.

Thoughts?  Are you on board with drum magazines, or do <3 the box configuration and capacity of the Surefire high capacity 60 and 100 round box style magazines more?  Interesting how Sturmgewehre said he hasn’t had any luck with the Surefire 60s.

Products currently haunting my dreams:

Hudson, Ohio — A Sullivan Road resident called police to report a “suspicious package” on his front porch Nov. 2 at 3:20 p.m.

The resident said he observed an unknown person leave the package and called police, according to the police report.

The officer said he could see the package was clearly labeled with the Amazon.com logo and asked the man if he had ordered anything from the firm recently.

The man reportedly said “Why yes, I did.”

The officer told the resident his order had arrived. The resident then said he was comfortable opening the box. The officer then left the scene, according to the report.

Now that’s what I call serving and protecting! I imagine police deal with so many dumb things like this on a daily basis which never even make the paper.

The amazon motto of “and you’re done” sounds like a threat in context of this article. :P

Not much of a surprise there.

I like Jack In The Box better than McDonalds so this doesn’t upset me one bit.  I actually can’t even remember the last time I ate McDonalds.  Jack In The Box I can remember, but that was a number of years ago as well.  Five Guys is my newest favorite burger place, second to In-N-Out Burger which sadly only has locations which are far away from me.

I’m not sure who the author of the painting is is, as I cannot read the signature.

I was looking at the ever popular AK Type Magazine Identification Chart that I posted back in October and thought:

There are a couple of very unique mags on there, I wonder if I can find actual pictures of them in use?

So after scraping the internet I came up with the following pictures of the two most unique mags out of the bunch.  Can you imagine how much either one of these would weigh fully loaded?
