bullet button

Oh man, this guy (Gregg Jarrett) “clips” “assault rifle” “fully automatic”:

San Bernardino negativity does not interest me, however this was just too good not to post.

Assault-Rifle-Because-I-Am-BlackThese people reporting “the news” really should be held to a higher standard by their respective organizations.  I’m talking internal fines imposed against the offender when something this stupid is put out to EDUCATE the public.  God knows how many people saw that segment, and are now parroting that too all their equally clueless friends, relatives, and coworkers.

I wonder how many angry emails the bullet button company is getting when unknowledgeable gun owners who wanted this cool “feature” so they order a button, are disappointed when it doesn’t function as the news guy said it would.  hahha

Oh wow this is too good:

The same guy who wanted to ban “assault weapons” and bullet buttons in trouble for firearms trafficking and a slew of other crimes.

He was charged with conspiracy to traffic in firearms without a license, and to illegally import firearms as well as a scheme to defraud citizens of honest services.

Yee and Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow, leader of the Chee Kung Tong Free Masons in San Francisco, were among 26 defendants charged in the federal criminal complaint Wednesday.

If convicted on all charges, Yee could face more than 100 years in prison. His bail was set at $500,000, unsecured, with the provision that he not leave the state. He was released from custody late Wednesday afternoon.

LOL “Shrimp Boy”, what an epic nickname.  I need to know the story behind that.

Looks like the Brady Campaign fails again. They honored Yee in 2006 for violence prevention.

mr-chow-hangover-did-you-dieThoughts?  I can’t say I’m surprised… he seemed like a slimeball to me from the beginning.  There are a lot of details about this case still emerging, but all I know is it all looks real shady.

Does that mean the smug look is finally wiped off Senator Leland Yee’s face?

I hope so.  Although he probably won’t sleep well knowing all the criminals out there will still be committing heinous acts with 10 round magazines and bullet button equipped assault rifles.  *eye roll*

From the Gun Owners Of California Website:

We were made aware early this afternoon, directly by the staff of the Appropriations Committee, that SB 249 will not be heard on Thursday, as was previously reported.  They have decided to let the bill die, due to the enourmous pressure put on the Capitol by the pro-gun community led by Gun Owners of California!

Good riddance SB249.  Gun Owners Of California urges CA residents to contact state assembly members and politely let them know not to try such a move again.

It’s OK for non-haters to hate Senator Leland Yee:

I’m not really into online petitions, because I don’t think they do much… but if you think anonymously putting your name down is going to scrap Senate Bill 249 then please by all means head over to StopSB249.org and sign up.

You can check out the previous discussion on the bill, which includes the CBS piece over on the previous bullet button ban post.

<— That smug grin should be banned from his face.

Senator Yee, fighting against law abiding gun owners:

“What I am proposing is to essentially prevent any mechanism that would allow the conversion of an assault weapon into a way that you can fire these magazines upon magazines without effort” -Senator Yee

I have two questions:

  1. How often are what the media likes to call “Assault” rifles used in violent crimes in CA?
  2. What percentage of  “Assault” rifles in evidence right now have bullet buttons or fixed magazines?

I’m pretty sure I already know the answer to both questions… but i’ll humor Senator Yee and support his ban if the answers turn out to be “Very often & most”.

Full Story – HERE

The initial restriction, and this new bill about to be put forward is a typical example of bullshit that does nothing but further inconvenience the law abiding.  Go interview 100 gang members and ask them what they think of magazine capacity restrictions, adjustable stocks, and shoulder things that go up.  I’ll save you the trouble and let you know in advance you’ll get 100 guys laughing in your face.
