Chief

Over these videos which are still getting panties and manties in knots since his suspension:

0:00 – “Caught on video cursing and firing off guns.” – haha he was hardly “caught” on video.

1:38 – His life and the lives of his family members have been threatened?  Seriously WTF?  Why?  I don’t think the videos are indicative of how a law enforcement officer should represent themselves, never mind a chief… but at the end of the day no one deserves to have their life threatened over something like this.  I can’t imagine how the threat would have even been delivered… “I saw your video and I didn’t like it *insert threat here*“.  Some people are so dumb, it’s painful.

1:45 – Doesn’t regret the videos he made

2:05 – Provide guns to children! haha yea that will go over well.  He clarified it a bit with the “if need be” part, which I do agree with.  I’ve always said kids should have a healthy respect for firearms and know how to use them.  Typical media blowing everything out of proportion initially like “Kessler wants to give guns to children as long as they can use them” *eye roll*.

Mark-Kessler-Loudmouth-Douchebag2:40 – “Kessler also thinks citizens should also not rely on police to save them.” – Church.

3:00 – Kessler says he will get a buyout of $100k from his down if he’s forced out.  Quite a bit of ammo money to make some more troll videos with.

Thoughts?  I feel like Kessler probably has some good ideas, but his delivery in the few videos he put out was so awful and abrasive they were hard to grasp.

Hail To The Chief. Remember this douchebag?

Kessler remained defiant even after learning on this night, he’s been suspended for thirty days without pay effective immediately. Gilberton Council members voted five to one. They also voted and passed new policies ordering Kessler not to wear his uniform or use his title for personal use.

Michael Morrill of Schuylkill County argued, “We ended up getting 20,000 signatures asking for him to be fired. This suspension is totally inadequate.”

Oakland, CA – The City Council voted June 25 to eliminate 80 police officer  positions to help close the city’s $32.5 million funding gap.

Police chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situation that his officers will no longer respond to. He says if you live and Oakland and one of the listed crimes happens to you, you need to let police know on-line.

Full story – HERE and HERE

Here is a partial list:

  • burglary
  • theft
  • embezzlement
  • grand theft
  • grand theft:dog
  • identity theft
  • false information to peace officer
  • required to register as sex or arson offender
  • dump waste or offensive matter
  • discard appliance with lock
  • loud music
  • possess forged notes

  • injure telephone/ power line
  • interfere with power line
  • unauthorized cable tv connection
  • vandalism
  • administer/expose poison to another’s
  • Heh… report the crimes online hey?  Then what… some sort of independently contracted investigation unit that works for free will respond and crack the case? Looks like this “online” reporting method is just their not so subtle way of sweeping the listed crimes under the rug.

I’m not sure what they are NOT cutting out of the Oakland budget, but in a city that is always ranked high in mast categories of crime… cutting money to the police is just a bad idea.

Looks like it will be a free-for-all in Oakland.

I hope at least a few of the 80 that were laid off, were the bozos involved in the shooting of the deer back in May.

P.S. What is Grand theft dog?  Theft of a really expensive dog?

I originally built this rifle for a costume because I wanted something that would look nicely detailed compared to the relative simplicity of the suit. Originally it was just a silver nerf recon but over time I started to customize it as the suit was upgraded and made more complicated. I decided to keep all the functionality of the nerf gun to give me something to show off. (cocking, loading, etc) This project has been on and off for about 2 years now. I occasionally touched it up here and there and added some more detailing.

    Pretty awesome!

Some details on how he built it – HERE

I really like the demonstration video too.  Nice touch with the HALO style heads up display and music.

Residents in King were fumed over the weekend after a state of emergency declaration because of bad weather restricted the sale of alcohol and the carrying of firearms in vehicles.

Under North Carolina law, statute 14-288.7 automatically went into effect. And that law which goes into effect when there’s a state of emergency prohibits the transportation, purchase sale and possession of firearms other than on one’s own premises.

HUH? Why?  Any particular reason? such as fear of looting etc..?

“We did find some people on the streets,” May said. “We didn’t take any enforcement actions. We spoke to the people driving and helped them to get to where they needed to be.”

Wow, how noble of them.

One question on my mind is, how is everyone supposed to find out about this “emergency deceleration”?

My guess is that it’s broadcast on the Radio and on the TV, but since I never listen to the radio and don’t have satellite or cable, how would I find out about it?  In fact, I don’t even currently own a cell phone.  I use the internet for everything.

If there was some snow on the ground and a few fallen trees, and I thought I could make it to where I was going,  I wouldn’t hesitate to go.  Why should I have to consult numerous sources for the O.K.?  If they ever expect these notification systems to even partially work, they need to broadcast the warning across every type of communication device.

That said, no one likes being told what to do.  Especially when it involves having their rights taken away, even temporarily.

I hope that Police Chief Paula May is ready for the:
