Magic boy Calen Morelli tries to sell drugs to a cop:

Rick-RossYea it’s probably fake, but still funny.  He should so something with gang members and making their concealed guns disappear and appear in a backpack he’s wears… that would be epic.

I lovvvvvve good magic.

I’ve never played Skyrim, but the gaming world seemed to be all over it for a while:

Good idea for a video, it would work well with a lot of different game footage.

The execution of this particular video was perfect.

A woman celebrating the weekend before her 25th birthday was fatally shot Sunday when she hugged an off-duty police officer while dancing at a party, causing the officer’s service weapon to fire, according to police and her mother.

According to police Sgt. Stephens, the woman “embraced the officer from behind, causing the holstered weapon to accidently discharge.” The bullet punctured Miller’s lung and hit her heart, and she died at a hospital.

WTF…. k my internal bullshit checklist goes: 1) Not April fools day  2) Is the story on other news sites?

It passes both those checks but I’m still trying to figure out how a holstered gun can miraciously spin around, aim at this womans lungs and discharge?  That’s it… i’m not hugging any more cops after today… well maybe i’ll hug a few more today just to secure the memories… but after tomorrow i’m done for good.

Thoughts? Help me crack the case guys… I think we might even need to get Mythbusters on this one.

This looks like it has potential:

Imagine a game that draws inspiration from the large scale, multiplayer experience of a title such as Battlefield 3, and combines it with the cops and robbers style of Grant Theft Auto and HEAT. Welcome to POLICE WARFARE; a multiplayer first person shooter set in the world of armed robbery and law enforcement. Players will go toe-to-toe as either a member of the Los Angeles Police SWAT team, or the opposite side of the law, robbing banks as an armed gunman.

They had me at HEAT (my all time favorite movie).  At the time of writing this they are very far away from their funding goal ($15664/325000), but there is a month left so who knows what could happen if enough people spread the word.  I was actually surprised that the other crowd sourced video game I blogged about was 110% funded when it ended!

Lots more details over at the KickStarter website.  Make sure you check it out and even put some of your own money in to back the project if you’re interested.

Thoughts?  Are you guys excited about these crowdsourced games, or are you happy with what the major game companies are currently delivering?

New York City – Cops are livid over a legislative proposal that could handcuff the brave officers involved in life-and-death confrontations every day — requiring them to shoot gun-wielding suspects in the arm or leg rather than shoot to kill, The Post has learned.

LOL when I read that I double checked that I was on a legitimate news site, not some satire website.

Vice President Joe Biden, who scoffed and suggested it be dubbed “The John Wayne Bill” because it demands sharp-shooting skills of the kind only seen in movies.

I don’t agree with Joe Biden often, but he is right on the money with that statement!

A big problem with laws like this is the fact that the court system is going to be even more clogged up with family’s trying to get rich off suing the police because their son etc… should have been shot in the arm or leg… he shouldn’t have had to die!

Also, It appears that no one that is proposing this new bill has any idea how the human body works. There are arteries all over the arms and legs, and if you get hit in any one of those you are on your way to dying very quickly.

Nothing like giving criminals more rights

If this passes, I bet lots of cops will decide to retire early.

(The picture I used in this article is the same one that the NYpost used.  Pretty interesting grip the guy is using,  the old “2nd hand holding the wrist” hahah nice.)
