Slow motion footage FTW! This is Pretty awesome.

The video appears to be for the song “Ritalin” by Dancing Pigeons… I had not heard of them before, but they have my attention now… actually they had me at “flamethrower”.

We had a little fun while trying to light matches with a bullet. Turns out, after we got all our fixturing dialed in, we were able to light multiple matches with a single bullet. A phantom high speed camera helps tell the story. Mythbusters only tried to light one match with a bullet, so we figured we might as well try to push the envelope. I’m sure Jamie and Adam have the budget and time to figure out the perfect curve to stack arrange all the bullets in to light all matches.

The gun of choice for them? The ubiquitous Ruger 10/22 (.22 LR)

Damn I love slow motion footage.

I have been using chrome for a while now, and I agree it’s fast.

What a fun way to demonstrate its speed:

Camera Used: Phantom v640 High Speed Camera at 1920 x 1080, films up to 2700 fps

Damn everything looks so wicked in slow motion. Make sure you read the details on the video to see how each test was done.

I hate to think how much that camera is worth.  I think it’s pretty safe to assume that if google uses it, I can’t afford it though.  Even if I could afford it, my ammunition requirement would increase exponentially because of all the awesome shooting footage I would need to get.

This video is total fail

At the very start it shows 2 kids playing with a gun.  I know the point they are trying to get across, but really?

At 51 seconds the gun clicks, indicating that it actually would have fired a round when the guy not wearing the watch pulled the trigger.

Armatix must have caught on, because on their website the video now has that failed demo conveniently edited out.

You can read more about the Armatix gun on my other post – HERE

Out of all 15 rounds, I doubt more then a couple of them hit anywhere safe.  From the look of the video, most of the shots either ventilated the roof, or else likely sailed over the back of the berm.
