Gabrielle Giffords On That Background Check Nonsense

“Background checks make it harder for criminals and the mentally ill to get guns” riiiight:

OMG I want to poke my ears out when she talks, it’s painful. I don’t like the fact the gun control lobby parades her around like this, but she’s definitely a good card in their deck.

I just hope she knows what she’s saying, with her support for subtle disarmament plans. If you recall she did get shot in the head, and I’m assuming her speech isn’t the only thing that was affected. I don’t really care enough to google it because I have ketchup on my one hand and getting up to wash it rather than continuing to awkwardly suspend it seems like work.

Thoughts? Are you looking forward to the gun-crime-free utopia that the proposed background checks will create?

“We were told she wanted to toughen her image. She asked to come out and she wanted to shoot a rifle. She had one of our guys out there to show her how to shoot an AR-15.”

Thanks LE-Anon! If she wasn’t operating (no pun intended… really) on a reduced mental capacity now (I’m assuming this by her slow as molasses speeches and glazed look) I’d be harder on her. I still think her AR-15 buying-to-hand-over-to-the-police husband started this whole crusade.

Riiiiiiight… so you and you husband like guns, but you don’t want the rest of us to have certain types of guns with certain features and certain magazine capacities. *shrug* sounds legit. *eye roll*

Scumbag Hypocrite Gabrielle Giffords’ Husband

Buys AR-15, gets busted by an anonymous tip, so he says he planned on turning it over to the police:

Testifying to the Senate Judiciary Committee Jan. 30, Kelly had urged senators to restrict sales firearms based on their lethality–a common refrain with other witnesses that day, who argued that semi-automatic weapons, which chamber subsequent rounds as bullets are fired, and other guns with military-style features level the playing field against law enforcement.

Kelly and Giffords founded their own advocacy group to restrict gun rights, Americans for Responsible Solutions, in January. On its website, ARS wrote: “High capacity magazines are a deadly factor in gun violence.” A 30-round magazine is considered a high-capacity magazine.

WTF? What an idiot. I don’t think anyone buys that “I was going to turn a perfectly legal gun over to the police” crap. In case you forgot about Gabrielle Giffords, she was the Arizona Rep. that got shot by that useless kid whose name I don’t care to recall. Anyway, she can talk again (barely… it’s actually incredibly painful to listen to) so her and her husband Mark have been on a warpath to ban high capacity extended assault magazines that are only meant to kill large amounts of people. *eye roll*
