guitar

I won’t publicly condone nor condemn this action:

haha just kidding, it’s awesome.  The comments on the post seem to indicate the fellas would like him to play Lynyrd Skynyrd – Freebird.  Definitely lends itself to the AR-15 slide action.

I had to use the vintage thumbnail you see to the left.  Believe it or not that was the very first post I ever did for this blog (Nov 4, 2008).  Damn, I really brought the hot fire right out of the gate with ENDO haha.  (Note: I have no idea who those people are)

The making of an incredible guitar commissioned by musician Wyclef Jean:

The guitar was made by a guy named Jimmy DiResta,  you can check out his other incredible work over at his DiResta websiteHow he managed to not chop a finger or two off on that band saw is also incredible;  I love how he uses it to sculpt the wood.

2:48 – High capacity 6 string assault magazine!  That Wyclef… always pushing the limits.

6:00 – Trigger controlled whammy.  INTERNETS = WON.

Wyclef brandishing that badboy on the mean streets of NYC for TMZ:

Seeing how political Wyclef’s music is, knew there was going to be something anti-gun and deep behind this little project.  Wait for it…… “we convert weapons into music” and then something about saving kids from gun culture all over the world.

There’s one other AK-47 Guitar I blogged about a while back which you can also check out.  It’s more authentic looking, not like something a flamboyant African warlord would have commissioned Elton John to design.

Thoughts?  When is the Deagle Brand Deagle guitar coming… maybe I’ll commission one just to troll.

Mexican artist Pedro Reyes attempts to shock and awe by using guns as a medium:

Imagine is a set of 50 musical instruments fabricated out of destroyed weapons – revolvers, shotguns, machineguns, etc. This work is a progression of Palas por Pistolas (2008), where 1527 weapons were melted and made into the same number of shovels to plant 1527 trees.

A group of 6 musicians worked for 2 weeks shoulder-to-shoulder turning these agents of death into instruments of life.

LOL agents of death!  I’ve got to admit those guitars look and sound really badass.  A shame those weapons were ever destroyed in the first place though.

More pictures and information over at Pedro Reyes’ website.

Unless it has an adjustable break point, i’m not impressed.   Now that I said that it actually it doesn’t look like there’s any break point at all.

A few companies already make these things finger strengthener things for guitar players.  Yea the guitar ones have all 4 fingers, but you can isolate just the index finger on some of them if you want.

For $55 i’ll save my money and continue pulling real triggers.  OMG IT’S ON SALE!  Only $45 *click* buy now… buy now!  :P  Uhhhh no.

Using one of these at work would definitely get you labeled as the office psycho if you’re not working in a law enforcement or gun related workplace.

That color and dated design pisses me off too… It looks like something that should have been hawked on the home shopping network in the ’80s.   The youtube commercial I embedded supports my point.

The type of music they guy is playing doesn’t really lend itself to an AK-47 if you ask me.  I can respect his skills though, but I’d crank the knob up to 11, stomp on the distortion and just wail on the power chords.

Seized by the police in Sweden:

The neck of the guitar has been hollowed out and equipped with two shotgun barrels, while the body of the string instrument contained the beginnings of trigger mechanism.

In police interviews the man described the home made musical weapon as “a fun thing that was not finished

Awesome. I want one of these so I can play AC/DC’s “For those about to rock (we salute you)”, and shoot flaming propane tanks at the same time. That would be pretty much one of the most badass things you could do with a guitar/gun combo.
