Japan

*In my best Oprah voice* YOU get a boner!  YOUUU get a boner!  YOUUUUUUUU get a boner too!:

That there is the Chris Costa a.k.a. Sharky McJumperson *new* in turbo-hungry “paying my great grandkids college tuition” mode… shilling airsoft guns!  Oooooooooh kill’em ooooooooh.  I SHIT YOU NOT.

Holy god the excitement and man love in that room you’d need a reciprocating saw with a tungsten carbide blade to even ATTEMPT to cut through it… but to your dismay the blade would be like “nah bro, I just want a sniff of Costa.  GIMME ONE or I’ll cut you.” ew… just ew.

Here he is playing with some toy guns, in full turbo operator mode, making more JP boys fall in love:

1:58 – OHOOOOOO speed reload!  Multiple consecutive malfunction clear!  +1000 JP man love.

2:16 – The Japanese paid extra for that little *bow chicka wow wow* he did with the 1911 slide.  That’s in the options package that most countries can’t afford to spring for.

2:23 – Suspicious… that dude was on his knees in front of Costa.  CANNOT UNSEE or UN-IMAGINE.

2:36 – Costa’s *acting like I care what’s going on inside this POS* face.

2:58 – Ah cool, fake ammo he says to himself… they are paying me to care about this garbage he says to himself.

4:18 – Nothing but steel!  No wait… probably just pot metal or thin aluminum for it to ping off. *snicker*

4:54 – One on deck!  Just like real life. <3 CC

Here’s a 30 minute long Q&A with Costa (translated to Japanese after he says a sentence), which I don’t have the time to watch tonight:

I’m sure the above video is enthralling LOL… let me know in the comments.

Like, did he not know these vids would end up on the internet?  Or is this some cool new social media / rebranding strategy I wouldn’t understand?

BRB, this post gave me Lupus… Costa Lupus. In all honesty though, when vids like this show up in my email it makes me happy to be ENDO even more than I already am.

Oh and if you thought I was joking about the Love dolls, and fake girlfriends click those links.

No disrespect to JP as a whole, I fuck with your clothing and design heavy… you just need to get some self confidence and drive with the females though my dudes.  Or don’t… whatever makes you guys happy. :)

Oh Japan, you so crazy:

Japanese photographer Tsuyoshi Ozawa created this photo series called Vegetable Weapon that features women holding guns made mostly out of vegetables. The ingredients are native to the woman’s country and after the photo shoot, the gun is disassembled and Ozawa shares a hot meal with the model using the gun’s ingredients.

Unsurprisingly the project is meant to promote peace. hahah It was probably so obvious I shouldn’t even mentioned it. *eye roll*

The display in Tokyo right now at the Misa Shin Art Gallery until November 2nd.

There should be an American version of this with meats and beers where after the photoshoot you fire up the grill, cook the meat and drink all the beer.

For their 5th Anniversary: A black bun made with bamboo charcoal and squid ink colored black ketchup:

Source – Burger King JP Facebook

They call it the “Kuro Burger” (Kuro means “black” apparently) and it will be available for a limited time across Japan starting at 10:30AM on Friday Sept. 28th.

*slow clap* suddenly white buns and red ketchup seem so mainstream, I’m no longer interested in them. /hipster

If this was a bit thicker and longer…

It would be awesome for hiding some handguns or a rifle.  This is the kind of thing you could probably convince a wife or girlfriend to put in the living room without too much trouble.  Pretty neat that you need two magnetic knobs to open it, although it wouldn’t be idea if you needed to get at your firearm in a hurry.

Made by Torafu architects out of Japan.

I wonder if a person could modify a cheap shelf at IKEA to serve such a purpose.  Maybe i’ll try to muster up the courage to venture back in there sometime and check it out.  This shelf looks promising, but it appears to be a bit thin for such an application.

Those crafty Japanese toy inventors are at it again:

I definitely would try and build my own before I’d drop $361 USD (28,350 YEN) on this!  Besides the few custom parts, it looks like you could get most of the kit from Home Depot.

Too bad there’s not a youtube video of this in action.  There are a lot of vids of people shooting bottles into the air using bicycle pump rigged launch pads though so I assume this would be similar.

Yea it’s probably a toy.. but at least the Samurai costume looks cool:

Wait, are those pre-industrial era rubber boots?  Cool.

If you need your fill of Katanas for the day, make sure to watch this “interesting” unboxing that was pretty popular a while back.
