kickstarter

Whoa:

Pistols of the Warlords kickstarter is currently sitting at $1051645.  That’s a LOT of money to pull in for a couple niche books, but when you put it in perspective that 5745 people are backing the kickstarter, it definitely seems more doable.  Make me really think I should get going on that Sheepdog Fan Fiction book.

The previous two Kickstarters for books that Forgotten Weapons’ Ian did, were met with great success as well.  Thorneycroft to SA80: British Bullpup Firearms, 1901–2020 ($579,585) and Chassepot to FAMAS: French Military Rifles, 1866 – 2016 ($800,256).  Honestly, no wonder though… they look like amazing quality and I’m sure the research is top notch as we have come to expect from him.

Yooo is that shirt Ian is rocking in the video Visvim? 🤔 He’s really stunting on us poors now that he’s pulling $M bags.  Kidding.

People apparently want this:

LOL yea because so many people die from head shots every year.  *smh* Wtf is this Call of Duty?

If you’re so worried that you’re going to be executed square in the forehead (from a high angle… you’re on your knees?) when you leave the house in the morning maybe you should pick a new place to live?  Actually maybe I’m not being paranoid enough… you should probably get bulletproof earmuffs for winter (that look like regular earmuffs), bulletproof glasses. a bulletproof neck warmer (that looks like a regular neck warmer), bulletproof gloves, a bulletproof jock cup, bulletproof pants, and kevlar socks with bulletproof shoes.

The scientific test… note all the testing instrumentation and equipment:

From the FAQ:

Won’t the force from the impact kill you anyway?

No. The amount of energy in a handgun round is high, but not as high as some people seem to believe. A .45ACP has about 450 Joules of energy. A hockey slapshot has about 240. So the amount of impact you would feel is on the order of twice the impact of being hit in the helmet with a hockey puck. Is that enough to give you a concussion? Maybe? It is certainly in that range, but a concussion would be a welcome outcome when compared to the damage a bullet would do to the same area without protection.

Hats are hot enough to wear in any decent weather… I can’t imagine that panel inside would be even remotely comfortable in any sort of heat.

Notch-HatIf Kickstarter had someone filtering out the retarded ideas meant to separate people from their money, they would have like two successfully funded projects in the history of the site.  That said, if you want to throw some money at this one go for it.

Me?  I’m squirreling all my money into buying notch hats.  Buy low sell high bitches!!!!! yeeeeeeeeee haw!  Notch x BulletSafe collab on the horizon?  Mankind could only be so lucky.  Get Instructor Zero endorsing it and that may just be the first tactical billion dollar product.

Like everything now, this is a Kickstarter campaign… here are the details:

This is the trailer:

GUNLAND peers into the lives of urban youth through a raw and realistic lens. It shows how a community ravaged by gun violence causes kids to be afraid to walk the streets, go to school, and to play.

The neighborhood violence that families have to deal with is daunting. Parents try and protect their children from the gangs and the shootings, but to no avail.  Kids can be shot just standing in front of their house or corner store for seemingly no reason.

I feel like the kickstarter video and trailer should have captivated me more.  I didn’t grow up anywhere near the hood but I liked to think I had an ear to the streets.  Yea I didn’t though, who am I kidding… I just lived vicariously through the raps I listened to.

Chicago is so crazy with the gun violence.  They should ban guns there and fix the problem!  Oh wait….

Head over to the kickstarter page and check it out.  Throw some money their way for the cause if you like what you see.

Obama-Guns-Shoot-ChicagoI feel like A&E has done at least 4 different documentaries I’ve seen on guns and drugs in Chicago, so I’m not sure why this would be any different but I’d still watch it.

Gat tip: MrColionNoir (LOL “gat tip” was actually a typo, but then I was like… sure I’ll tip my “gat” to him.. that works.  Maybe I’ll make that a new thing rather than “hat tip”)

Buck Yeager wants to make a documentary about his life at Tactical Response:

In this documentary you will follow a group of James Yeager’s Tactical Response students (some with law enforcement experience, some current or prior military duty and some civilians with a little training and some with a LOT) through intensive and gut wrenching scenarios.Training which will test both their physical and mental boundaries. Think embedded cameramen. That means no sound stage! No rehearsals! No phony drama! No actors! Real stress! Real emotion and REAL DANGER!

James-Yeager-Angel-ApprovedCheck out his Kickstarter and throw some money his way if you want to support.  haha wow $18k of 10k already raised… well that didn’t take long.

Sounds like it will be entertaining; I’ll watch it.  A lot of camera men running around, safety could get dicey.  Yeager isn’t afraid of down range photography though, we already know that.

When I thought the FPS beat down was going to be the highlight of this video, I was wrong:

Oh Lawd!  Rap! Dual brand Deagles! A chicken on his crotch? wtf? haha it gets worse though:

The point of the video was to promote a Kickstarter campaign for a FPS Russia video game.  I can’t say I was at all optimistic, and when I clicked the link my biggest fears came true.  It looks lame as hell… like some sort of weak-ass Contra knockoff.  Not cool. FPS Corporate gonna keep pimpin corporations as long as it pays.

As I’m writing this post I see he has already raised $6354 out of the $51377 goal.  People seem more than willing to throw money at this guy, so I’m sure that $51k goal will be far surpassed.  Further down on the Kickstarter campaign page it details what he will spend the money on if the campaign reaches different levels above the original goal.

Thoughts?  Are you going to throw $10 his way?

A Kickstarter for an action web series for those that like Modern Warfare 3, Act of Valor, and 24:

I can’t say I’m impressed by the above trailer. Looks really bush league if you ask me.

You can check out the Kickstarter project page if you want to find out more info and throw some money at the project.

I find it hard to believe that their $7500 Kickstarter goal is enough.  What’s that going to pay for?  Are the actors working for free?  I don’t recall the director saying anything about that in the intro video on the Kickstarter page.  Seems sketchy…
