Law Enforcement

Holy…. these two geniuses in La Quinta, CA:

Here’s the backstory:

We were on our way to my friends house and we were at a stop light. When the light turned green my friend began to make some weird motions and really freaking me out. I told him the light was green and he had a deer in a headlights look. A deputy walked up and asked what was going on I told him he was acting weird I don’t know. He asked if we had any weapons and I said ‘no.’

At this time my friend was still doing some weird motions and finally answered the deputies question if he was okay. I had mentioned that we’re in the middle of the street and he came to and stepped on the gas and drove onto the corner. I jump out of the car and walked out with my hands up and was standing where the recording took place. Deputy drives up comes out of his vehicle with his gun drawn. That’s when I decided to record.

Yea that doesn’t sound shady AT ALL! *sarcasm* *extreme eye roll*

I want to know what fastfood restaurant the cameraman (Alejandro Natividad) works at, and what his ARFCOM user name is just for my own satisfaction.

Since when are cops trained to take someone’s word for it that they aren’t armed?  Especially considering the shenanigans that went on beforehand. Note that the quote excerpt above is a direct from the camera man, so it’s not like the police made that up.

Oh and this is the best part – The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI of marijuana and released the next day.  So in summary, these two were most likely high as kites (or sure, “maybe” just the driver) and freaked out when the cops pulled them over… then the cameraman thought he was going to be a hero and take a stand for America and for mankind. *slow clap* Cool story bro, I bet you’ll get a ton of chicks with this badass video LOL.

Harold-And-KumarIt’s lucky for the cameraman those cops let him stand there and rant / cry.  I’m not one to promote a police state, but it seems like there was good reason for the cops to be nervous. Mainly because the cameraman was obviously extremely nervous. I’ve seen videos of guys shot over waaaaayyyy less than this.

Yeah huge shocker that they don’t want to be burdened with all the problems when ordinary citizens could take care of some of them.

Police-One-Law-Enforcement-Survey

Make sure you head over to PoliceOne to check out all the survey questions and the results.  Some of them might surprise you, but on the other hand if you know police officers chances are you won’t be surprised.

You can hit up the PDF with the full questions and results of the survey – HERE

I like the idea of the survey a lot, but I really wish that PoliceOne would have spent the time to get it out to more than 15,000 officers.  Sure that sounds like a decent number at first though, but in reality the NYPD alone has more than double that.  Yea I know it says they sent it to all 400,000 of their verified LEO forum members, so that’s pretty said only 15,000 cared enough to respond.  They should have offered an incentive like a free coffee / donut to drive response rates up *zing*.  I’m kidding of course… that job has to be the most thankless one on the planet, and I have a lot of respect for everyone that does it properly.

And backs him down:

I was detained by Portland PD officer J McDonald on 26MAY2012. He detains me without suspicion of any criminal activity in violation of Delaware v Prouse. He admits his sole reason for stopping me is my legally carried firearm in violation of US v DeBerry. He seizes my weapon with no reasonable suspicion that I’ve committed a crime in violation of Terry v Ohio. He demands my ID without reasonable suspicion in violation of Hiibel v Nevada

LOL burn.  That’s exactly what I like to see.  As I always say on the blog… if you can’t handle the laws in the state / country / etc.. that you live in, then move.  That especially goes for those PAID to enforce them.  I am pro Law Enforcement, but the fact is there is only one version of the law they are paid to enforce… so if you are a LEO and you have your own agenda, and that includes trying to trick people into waiving their rights, then please do everyone a favor and find a new career.

Thank god for cameras.

So now what?  The officer in the video violated 4 different laws according to the person taking the video.  Will anything happen?  Should anything happen?

Glock’s new ad directed toward Law Enforcement:

Interesting target market… I didn’t think there would be an American Law Enforcement officer that didn’t already know about the benefits of Glock.

Maybe Glock is losing market share to S&W and other polymer pistol manufacturers and they figured this would be a good way to win some of it back? I don’t know where exactly they are showing this commercial…  just YouTube? Maybe it’s on TV as well?

It would have been funnier if the commercial ended with the guy farting on that little ginger’s head. hahah

YouLiveYourLife.com hey? hmmm… what a useless page.  All that’s on there are 10 safety rules!  Why not just put that on the regular Glock site and drive traffic (buyers) there? *shrug*
