Former Operators in operations and others talk about security breaches:

I always thought that some of the info that was released to the public seemed awfully sensitive.  Not ideal considering people’s lives are at risk.  The media is the worst for not keeping their mouths shut too.  I’m sure more often than not, people get paid for info by the top stations which ends up having devastating effects.  There doesn’t seem to be any liability, so it will likely just keep happening.

Thoughts?

According to the news so far, on April 20th the BP oil rig in the Gulf exploded.  Now since those rigs are inherently dangerous, I wasn’t really surprised by this and took it as an accident.

Then this from from Obama today:

  • Potentially getting the Department Of Defense to address the incident
  • Department of the interior is sending SWAT teams to the gulf to “inspect” all platforms and rigs

What the hell actually happened there, that the department of defense and SWAT teams would need to get involved? Smells fishy… I don’t like to don my tinfoil hat too often.. but I’m going to go out on a limb and question whether it was terrorism.  It definitely meets the criteria and M.O. of terrorists.

Wouldn’t be the first time we have been left in the dark when it comes to details.

From the description:

Found this video on a disk at the airport.
Looks like a promotional video of their ACR to be used at SHOT show.

Whatever it is, it’s pretty awesome.

For those of you that don’t know.. this rifle has changed hands many times before this up and coming release.  It first was the Magpul Masada, then Bushmaster bought it and renamed it to the ACR (Adaptive Combat Rifle) and is reportedly going to be catering to the commercial marketplace.  Remington will be selling a selective-fire version of the ACR to military and law enforcement.  Freedom Group Inc. is a large company that owns both Bushmaster and Remington.
