I still haven’t seen Lone Survivor.. but it looks great and I’ve heard good things.
As always Richard’s slow motion footage is great. Looks really cool when the round his the steel and fragments into a million pieces. I should ask him sometime about the sound… or Richard if you read this please let us know in the comments. Is that the real sound you’re always using from some mics you had set up… or sound effects added in post production?

Looks like it should be pretty good. I know there was a lot of initial hate because Marky Mark is playing him.

Meh. Might be good, but I’m not feeling this trailer:
Based on the failed mission “Operation Red Wings” which tasked four members of SEAL Team 10 on June 28, 2005 to kill Taliban leader Ahmad Shah. They were quickly compromised and under attack, Marcus Luttrell being the only member to survive and evade capture.
Doesn’t look as high speed low drag as I thought it would, plus what an absolutely awful choice of music.
I’ll definitely see this movie sooner or later, but my initial impression isn’t great. This doesn’t change my opinion at all of course about Marcuss Luttrell though… he is a true badass. If Mark Walhberg can even portray half of his badassery the movie will be alright.
