When Detroit mayor Dave Bing took to the internet to solicit ideas for the city’s revival, he shot down talk of erecting a RoboCop Statue. That didn’t stop some guys from starting a facebook page, and kickstarter project to collect moeny to do it themselves!

Detroit — A graphic surveillance video from inside a Detroit police precinct shows a wounded commander exchanging point-blank shots with a gunman on Sunday, returning fire despite being hit in the hand and side.
The 68-second video shows Lamar Moore, 38, entering the 6th Precinct and pulling a pistol-handled shotgun on officers who were working behind a horseshoe-shaped counter.

This is exactly why people have to be on point at all times… even police in their own stations. This looks like a pretty clear cut “suicide by cop” … a very bold one.

Pure gold… I couldn’t make stuff like this up if I tried.
I truly feel bad for her if she is unable to afford health insurance, or is not eligible. I’m sure she was in a lot of pain from when her dog jerked the leash, but why make things worse? I think her expectations of getting fixed for free were too high. especially since she was obviously very forthcoming of the fact the gunshot was self inflicted. I wonder what the possible charges she is facing are?

Heh yea nothing screams good idea like a .25 ACP to an artery. Hopefully her girlfriend talks her out of any future “bright ideas”, although I have a feeling Darwin may get another chance.
“Show, Shoot, Shout, Then Sip Some Tea With Us” is the slogan of the get together, and the primary objective is to take the stigma out of the word ‘militia’.
I think this is a really good idea. Although I believe they are going to have trouble distancing themselves from Hutaree, because it seems like the only major difference is lack of religious extremism. Guns, realistic training, disaster preparedness, and differing views on government are all still very prevalent; those types of things are what will continue to frighten people.
I wish them the best of luck with their efforts. It definitely looks like they have a fun day planned.
