WTT M&P45C – This Is How You Trade A Handgun

If you’re interested in the M&P45C, and have the pulse rifle he’s looking for make sure you hit up this post on CalGuns and contact user IllBuyThatForADollar. He’s located in Orange County CA so I’m assuming you’re going to need to have finger prints, DNA map, retina map, hair, stool, and urine samples in order to transfer the gun to your while complying with California law.

Smith & Wesson Shield Looks Promising

Gasp S&W didn’t invite me to the release? Shame on them. Here’s a Buck Yeager vid:

Pfffft whatevs S&W… you probably know I would have just unfavorably compared it to my beloved Glocks. :P Yea… at least that’s what i’ll tell myself so it doesn’t hurt so much inside. *sniff sniff*… *tear wipe*

Glock doesn’t have a single stack 9mm or .40 yet though, so good for S&W for making what people are asking for. I’m looking forward to handling and shooting it someday.

Someone tell me why I should care about these? They look like a Sigma crossed with a M&P. Interesting how S&W chose not to design these with removable backstraps.

Maybe the “Self Defense Trigger” (SDT) is the selling point? Who knows … anything would be an improvement on that scratchy mushy M&P trigger. The design of this “new” trigger looks the same with the joint right in the middle, so I’m not holding my breath in anticipation of it being awesome. I’ll hold further judgment until I try it out someday though.

The price is predictable … both have an MSRP of $530

Thanks but no thanks… For now I’ll be sticking with Glock to fulfill my polymer pistol needs.

Who cares about Glock’s forthcoming new modular backstrap?

I DON’T…

I wish they would focus on:

1) Creating a single stack handgun

2) Creating some type of rifle

I like my Glocks the way they are.

Hopefully when the new model gets released at the 2010 SHOT show everyone will want one so bad that the market gets flooded with cheap used Glocks. :P

On a side note, it would be absolutely hilarious if these new Glocks have a magazine disconnect and external safety on them.

Student vigilante group looking for trouble with their guns

SEATTLE – A group of University Of Washington students are being called vigilantes after they armed themselves with handguns and tried to set up patrols on University Avenue and other areas around campus where students have been attacked over the past year.

I hope this works out for them, but without any training at all, walking around looking for trouble just spells disaster in my mind. I can just picture someone trying to mug one of them and the entire street gets lit up because one of those hot shots in the video that’s all amped up with a hunger for revenge decides to pull out his concealed weapon and proceeds to dump the mag, bullets flying in every direction.
