Remember Leonard Embody?  Well he’s trying to teach the police lessons again:

On 7-29-13 I decided to pass out leaflets in downtown Nashville. I openly carried a molded kydex rifle case on my back with a ballistic vest. I purchased the ballistic vest because Tennessee cops have repeatedly pointed guns at me. It would be foolish not to wear a ballistic vest. I was detained once for about 20 minutes and let go. I then proceeded to do an interview with news channel 5. I then continued to pass out leaflets and was walking back to my vehicle when I was stopped by a crazy cop. He detained me, while his henchmen removed my sealed locked rifle case and pried it open without permission. They saw a suppressor attached to an AR15 rifle inside the case. I was arrested for the silencer even though form 3 paperwork was inside the case. I am an FFL NFA dealer and pay the SOT. The cops said that since the case appeared to maybe have a rifle in it they were justified in opening it. I was arrested and bonded out at about 5am on 7-30-13.

I have broke no law and believe the DA has not dropped the charges for fear of a federal lawsuit.

He’s got balls, I’ll give him that.  I’m on his side as far as “the law is the law” goes, and I hate guilty until proven innocent type things like this involving the police.  I really don’t know what he expects to get out of these little demonstrations?  Has any police officer ever got fired yet after any interaction with him? Doubtful.  Have the laws changed for the better because of gun related trolls like him?  Definitely not.  Does he have the power to change laws with demonstrations like this?  Again, that’s doubtful.  In the end it seems like the focus of these demonstrations is really to get shot (and obviously live), or troll hard enough to corner an officer into doing or saying something he shouldn’t, sue and then cash in. That’s what may have happened here.

LOL this is the rifle “case” he made from scratch using a vacuum forming machine it looks like he may have built for the purpose:

Troll-FaceThat’s next level open carry trolling when you go out of your way to even make your case form fit your rifle.

This all seems like a real waste of everyone’s time, including Leonard’s own.

I rolled my eyes when I saw this article on the incident called him an activist. haha

James-Yeager-Angel-Approved

According to a Nashville, Tennessee news station:

A general sessions judge in Benton County ruled last week that the state didn’t have enough evidence to suspend James Yeager’s carry permit.

(Source)

Oh the LOLz.  Not enough evidence?  The man stated “I am going to start killing people” on video, and then put it on the internet where it went viral and showed up on every major news station.  If he gets his carry permit back I am officially donning my tinfoil hat.  Oh because he half-ass “apologized” he can get it back?  Please.  If you ask me that’s setting a dangerous precedent.  Since when does an apology wash away things like that?  Initially there was speculation that Yeager probably didn’t give a shit about his “permit” being suspended anyway because as a former LEO he was apparently still authorized everywhere under LEOSA (Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act)… can’t confirm this though.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the state appeals the judges ruling.

Speaking of Yeager, he’s really running out of ideas for his vids.  First there were a bunch of Derp Jacket Firearms ones (Neva Been Done Befo’ shit for real), and now there are some useless rants about gay rights and drugs etc… Hardly as cutting edge and abrasive as he used to be.  Maybe now that’s he’s a grandpa he’s trying to settle down?  I’m still waiting for the video of when he’s supposedly going to take his baby grandson shooting and let his little finger pull the trigger.  That should raise a sufficient shit storm (I hope).

God I missed the post picture.  I used to crack up at it every time I used it, which pretty much ended up being daily when Yeager was at his bat-shit-crazy peak.

Hunt Brothers Pizza out of Nashville, TN gives you this with pizza takeout or delivery:

Genius promo.  Ironically environmental too, considering it will get 2 uses… holding the pizza and then getting shot at.  The environmental aspect kind of takes a turn for the worse when you realize you’ll be pumping lead into it… but at least it saved a portion of a tree you would have killed if you didn’t have a free target to shoot on your empty pizza box.

Make sure to lick your fingers off before you shoot.  Cleaning dried tomato sauce out of a match trigger is a pain in the ass I hear. *shifty eyes*

I like a company that isn’t afraid to do things like hunting promotions, and even put a religious saying on the box knowing that either one could lose them a few customers.  They have their values, and they stick to them.

A night on the job for two gas station workers became violent when two men walked in, guns in hand. A wild shootout unfolded on camera, inside the very close quarters of the Lewis Street Market in Nashville, Tennessee.

After reading Josh’s comment in the previous Leonard Embody related post here on my blog, I was browsing through the list of crazy laws he linked to, and came up with the following in Google Maps:

With his weapon carry permit revoked, Leonard Embody (kwikrnu) is now setting out on a road trip around the U.S.A. to challenge other obscure laws in hopes of being arrested and getting rich off a wrongful arrest lawsuit settlement. (Click to view map)

I picked out on the most obscure items that were apparently legal, just to prove the point.

I posted about Leonard Embody (kwikrnu as he is known on various internet forums) and his AK-47 pistol open carry incident and the subsequent court complaint filed by him for the violation of his 4th Amendment rights etc..

Originally I was unaware of all his past shenanigans, so my article when I first reported on the AK-47 incident back in December of 2009 I was very sympathetic.  Months later, after reading more and more about him, my opinion did a 180.

If you are unfamiliar with Leonard, Linoge from WallsOfTheCity has a comprehensive outline of all Leonard’s escapades, with links to the relevant forum posts and news stories – HERE

One of the most recent incidents (January 23, 2010) was when he open carried (in hand) a Navy Model 1851 black powder pistol in Belle Meade, TN in order to challenge the following laws:

TCA 39-17-1314 City laws regulating guns preempt state laws if they were made before April 8, 1986. (TN State Law)

Title 11 Chapter 6 section 602 specifically states the carry of an army or navy model pistol is an exception, and it must be carried openly in the hand not in a holster. (Belle Meade Ordinances)

The result?  He caused a bit of a stir and recently ended up getting his carry permit revoked I think he got off easy, considering his 1851 is a replica, and not the real thing.

Unfortunately, it looks like all of his shit disturbing may finally yield something…

In an article in today’s Nashville CityPaper, the mayor Gray Thornburg said the following:

Embody found a loophole in the law that allowed him to carry the military-style weapon, and the city is amending the law to take off the out of date exemption. We’re deleting that particular part which is very, very old. Historically, everybody had that in there.

According to the CityPaper article, the deletion of the law will go before the commission today Wednesday (today?) on a second and final reading, where it will either be approved or deferred.

I had to chuckle when I read the “military-style” part of the mayor’s comment, considering this is what the gun looks like:
