This looks damn good.  Based on a true story as well:

Based on the extraordinary true story of Operation Anthropoid, the WWII mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich, the main architect behind the Final Solution and the Reich’s third in command after Hitler and Himmler.

Anthropoid-Movie-PosterYea I’ll see this.  I’m always down for a good WWII related movie (UPDATE: I was just schooled that it was the cold war in the movie).  The last good one I remember seeing lately was Bridge of Spies.

The film opened on March 10th at SXSW (South By SouthWest)… not sure when (or if) there is going to be a mass US release, but I’m sure there’s a lot of people out there that want to see this movie (myself included).

Nazi USMC Snipers

Nah not really.. just a poor logo decision:

Marine Corps scout snipers used the logo of the notorious Nazi SS organization while in Afghanistan in 2010, the service acknowledged Thursday.

We get it: Scout Sniper = SS … still what a terrible idea.

First I was like :/ then I heard “Nazi’s from the moon” and I was like LOL. Sold!

I’ll pick Nazi’s over Zombies any day of the week.  I can’t see a Nazi craze catching on though… that whole holocaust thing was really bad for public relations.   Hornady Nazi Ammo anyone? Not likely…

Preparing For Victory Day

Never before in history have active-duty American troops been invited to march in the Victory Day parade, according to the United States military. The occasion is the 65th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II, a date that carries an almost sacred meaning in Russia.
