Embarrassing.  This is how you don’t do open carry any favors:

LOL I love how they asked Tracy, an African American woman what she thought.  The best part though was at 1:55 when she postulates that the kids are missing something from their lives….  No Tracy, these are just white trash little shits who are so stupid they thought they would get famous by doing this and putting the video on youtube.

“This is going on YouTube, n*gga, world star,” Deboard says to a passing group of black men.

ahhahahah

DerpIf they can legally do that in Ohio I wasn’t really sure why they got arrested… but according to the article one of the guys was charged with “menacing by stalking and violation of a protection order”.  There are apparently warrants out for the rest of the group, but again I’m not sure what they did wrong besides look like imbeciles.

Thoughts?

It seems good guy Yeager is back in action:

I mentioned on the Ohio AK-47 gunman post that there was what looked like Tactical Response literature in what the police confiscated from the gunman’s car.  James says that scumbag never took classes or made any purchases directly from them, it was a counterfeit dvd scan… and goes on to offer money and free training (for life) to the two wounded officers.  That’s legit.

Good-Guy-James-Yeager-MemeThis isn’t the first time James has offered to train people for free.

Thoughts?  I know people are going to say this is just advertising for him, but I think it’s very nice regardless.

Side note:  I get irritated every time I hear / see that new intro segment of his, do you?  It really looks like a parody of a parody.

Chief Wiggum ate some cake that didn’t belong to him and suffered the consequences:

ahahhahhaha the cake was a lie.  Oh well… he lived to chief another day, no harm done.

Chief-WiggumThat will teach him not to eat cake that isn’t his.

What distinguishes groups like this one from a shooting club or re-enactment society is the prospect of actual bloodshed, which many Ohio Defense Force members see as real. Their unit seal depicts a man with a musket and tricorn hat, over the motto “Today’s Minutemen.” The symbol invites a question, Who are today’s redcoats?

Not without its bias and the usual errors …

M-16s cut down the perimeter guards. Once past the rear gate, the raiders fanned out and emptied clip after clip in a barrage of diversionary fire.

Why didn’t they offer this at my University?

Not like I didn’t do it anyway, rather than selling the books back to the university bookstore for a ridiculously low amount.

Sounds like an awesome way to introduce new shooters to the wonderful world of guns, and start the summer off with a bang.

Pretty sweet that the $20 fee includes the use of the firearms, hearing protection, eye protection, and NRA certified instructors. I wonder if you bring your own ammo, or if they have it for sale there?

The Ohio University 2nd Amendment Club has a crude website set up if you are doubting their existence.  The book shoot is announced on the events page.

Pretty funny counter poster with Levar Burton.

Covington, KY – The mural at 242 W. Pike St. – which Fairey and his team of artists spent several hours pasting up in sections on Tuesday – drew negative reactions from Claypool and some of his clients and neighbors, including John G. Carlisle Elementary School across the street. The dominant image in the red, black and white mural, titled “Duality of Humanity 4 Pike Street,” is an Asian child soldier holding an automatic rifle.

Fairey’s website, says the artist believes his “Duality of Humanity” images “draw parallels between the complex emotions surrounding the Vietnam War and those felt now about the invasion of Iraq.”

Late Thursday morning, painters hired by Claypool covered the mural with white paint.

I agree, having the mural right across from an elementary school probably isn’t a great location.  They should have figured that out before hand though.

We had a bit of a Shepard Fairey discussion once before in the comments back on the Creepy Human Bone Art post.

Pretty cool looking mural, despite the blatant plagiarism that is inherent in the OBEY brand.
