Crazy sling shot guy with that fresh madness:

I love the way he says vegetable… veg-e-tab-le.  God this guy has fun making slingshots.

He should have fired the potato through a grate in front of a deep-fryer.

Joerg-SpraveHe was so excited that the frozen potato destroyed the watermelon (skull) hahah gold.  Damn that would be an embarrassing death.  It goes to show how mindful he has to be even of negligent discharges with those contraptions he builds… none of them are toys.

Mattv2099 says screw gravy, and goes for broke:

Mashed-Potato-Glock-Torture-TestThis one wasn’t as gross as some of the others, nor did it surprise me that it worked.

Didn’t look like he put much of a “bake” on those potatoes after they were mashed.  Should have at least browned the top.

Range testing indicates about a 50% increase in accuracy for potatoes, and pipe stands up to continuous 300 psi pretty well. This new barrel modification will send potatoes straighter and perhaps most important of all…safer. I say this as I have had experience with a stray potato every now and then, going where you might have not wanted it to go…(through my shop window).

Available in 1 1/2″ and 2″ SCH 40 and 2″ SCH 80 sizes only.

You can buy the pipe – HERE

I never built a potato gun, but plenty of people I knew back in highschool did.  I can imagine that the rifling would really dig nicely into the potato and get a sweet spiral going.

I have been using chrome for a while now, and I agree it’s fast.

What a fun way to demonstrate its speed:

Camera Used: Phantom v640 High Speed Camera at 1920 x 1080, films up to 2700 fps

Damn everything looks so wicked in slow motion. Make sure you read the details on the video to see how each test was done.

I hate to think how much that camera is worth.  I think it’s pretty safe to assume that if google uses it, I can’t afford it though.  Even if I could afford it, my ammunition requirement would increase exponentially because of all the awesome shooting footage I would need to get.
