rainbow

Try and put a negative spin on this one anti-gunners:

Shoot shotgun at water to make a rainbow + find leprechaun at end of created rainbow and steal his gold = PROFIT!

The girl in the video is Brandon401401’s girlfriend (wife?).  You might remember him from his Sterling 9mm POV or deadly shooting at 400 yards with the Ruger Mark III.

Dat Rainbow. Thoughts?

Why didn’t they offer this at my University?

Not like I didn’t do it anyway, rather than selling the books back to the university bookstore for a ridiculously low amount.

Sounds like an awesome way to introduce new shooters to the wonderful world of guns, and start the summer off with a bang.

Pretty sweet that the $20 fee includes the use of the firearms, hearing protection, eye protection, and NRA certified instructors. I wonder if you bring your own ammo, or if they have it for sale there?

The Ohio University 2nd Amendment Club has a crude website set up if you are doubting their existence.  The book shoot is announced on the events page.

Pretty funny counter poster with Levar Burton.

If you are running out of sneaky hiding places for guns, this might be a viable option… Hide one in a book.

There are a couple of rules of thumb I can think of when it comes to choosing a book:

  1. Do not choose a childrens book for obvious reasons
  2. Do not use a bible.. thats just poor taste even if you are not religious
  3. Do not use a good book.. one that someone will want to take off the shelf to look at
  4. Do not use a book that someone will want to borrow
  5. Do not use a book you think you might ever want to read, or re-read

Come to think of it.. “Barack Obama – The Audacity of Hope” is probably a good choice that will make sure you’re safe on all above points

What you need:

  • A book you don’t care about
  • 2 thin pieces of wood a bit larger than your gun
  • A scroll saw or jigsaw
  • A drill and drill bit
  • A hammer
  • Some finishing nails
  • Rubber cement (optional)
  • Felt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Trace the outline of your gun onto one of the thin pieces of wood (remember this is your template, so leave extra room if you want for your hand so you can pull the gun out easily)
  2. Take the book and separate out the pages that you want to be the core of your hiding spot (it’s recommended to leave at least a few pages on the top and bottom untouched for looks)
  3. Fold the back and front covers towards each other so they are out of the way
  4. Position the wood with the outline of the gun on it ontop of the pages you want to saw through
  5. Position the other piece of wood at the bottom of all the pages you want to saw through
  6. Hammer a few finishing nails through the top piece of wood, making sure they go all the way through the book and into the bottom piece of wood
  7. Make sure the nails are not sticking out the bottom piece of wood. If they are tap them back a bit, otherwise they will interfere when you are trying to cut out the shape on the saw
  8. Drill a pilot hole along the edge of your gun outline through the whole stack
  9. Start the cutting from this position and slowly work your way around the gun outline
  10. Once you are done cutting all the way around the outline you should just be able to pop the cutout piece out
  11. You have your new gun hiding spot!
  12. Optional: Paint the inside of your cutout cavity with rubber cement paste and line with felt
