The Pedersen Device is an attachment developed during World War I for the M1903 Springfield rifle that allowed it to fire a short 0.30 (7.62 mm) caliber intermediate cartridge in semi-automatic mode. This wonder weapon was developed to allow infantry to dramatically increase their rate of fire while on the move, while also allowing the rifle to be used in conventional bolt action mode for long-range fire from the trenches.

This very rare collectors item is up for auction, with a starting bid (or buy now?) of $23000

It does not include a magazine, so you’d have to procure one before you got to use this beauty. I’m sure anyone that would pay $23,000 for this device probably wouldn’t be shooting with it though.

“Many times [the police are] outgunned, to be very frank,” Daley said at an event in the Englewood neighborhood. “When they come to a scene, someone has a semi-fully-automatic weapon, and you have a little pistol, uh, good luck.” -Mayor Daley

Semi-fully-automatic huh? Neat.

How long until that bozo is gone from Chicago?

11 Videos on YouTube from Ruger that cover the history of firearms:

Don’t worry, the videos are not at all loaded with Ruger propaganda… quite the opposite actually.

Blah blah blah Americans buy guns and sell them to criminals and smugglers to bring back to mexico… same old story, but there is a funny surprise at the end…

(Sorry can’t embed video, they removed it from YouTube.  Thanks for the link Marcus)

Her stance and cheek weld is terrible.  I would have expected the ATF agents to give her better instruction, considering she could have ended up with a nice bruise on her cheek bone from the stock hitting it.

The highlight of the video:

“And they are so easily converted, you can buy semi and make it fully automatic.  They know how to drop those chambers in, and it doesn’t take long.”

-Kimberly Hunt (ABC 10 news)

LOL whaaaatt?  That definitely rivals the “shoulder thing that goes up” line from Carolyn McCarthy

Lucky to see the California assault weapons ban is working   Well I guess it is working… against the law abiding citizens.
