They did a nice job on this:

Not all that much happens in this video, but it portrays the vibe of quality and employee dedication.  I fully realize this blog is a “marketing appreciation” vid a lot of the times;  It is what it is.. I appreciate good marketing.  Until less than a decade ago the firearms industry was rife with unbelievably poor print and video marketing from both small and gigantic companies.  This has definitely got a lot better over the years, since more of these companies have realized the importance of building a brand on social media.  The current consumer isn’t boomers who only read NRA weekly in print (or whatever tf they call it), and take it as gospel.

*Gasp* S&W didn’t invite me to the release?  Shame on them.  Here’s a Buck Yeager vid:

Pfffft whatevs S&W… you probably know I would have just unfavorably compared it to my beloved Glocks. :P  Yea… at least that’s what i’ll tell myself so it doesn’t hurt so much inside. *sniff sniff*… *tear wipe*

Glock doesn’t have a single stack 9mm or .40 yet though, so good for S&W for making what people are asking for. I’m looking forward to handling and shooting it someday.

Check out the Shield product page over at S&W for the specs.

Yeager can shoot… i’ll give him that. Better than I can anyway (not that i’m surprised).

m4-carbine-chart

Rob from TacticalYellowVisor.net has a few great comparison charts that he was kind enough to make public.

These charts cover all major brands, and should make it a lot easier to narrow down your next purchase based on your wants and needs.

Although these charts seem to be updated from time to time, they may not be right up to the current date.  They are meant as a guide, so do your own due diligence when finally deciding what to purchase.

I DON’T…

I wish they would focus on:

1) Creating a single stack handgun

2) Creating some type of rifle

I like my Glocks the way they are.

Hopefully when the new model gets released at the 2010 SHOT show everyone will want one so bad that the market gets flooded with cheap used Glocks. :P

On a side note, it would be absolutely hilarious if these new Glocks have a magazine disconnect and external safety on them.
