smoke

He appears to have done loads of function testing prior to hitting record:

Strike #1 – 0:15 – “the clip… I pull it out”

Strike #2 – The remainder of the video

I’ll give him some style points for having the DIY spirit to actually bring his weed smoking pipe dreams to fruition.  Putting a gun in your mouth (fake or not) in my opinion is never a great idea though.

Made by some kids at the University of Nottingham in the UK:

Pretty risky move in the UK.  Observe at 1:47 when the crazed smoke ring gunman lets loose.

I purpose filling the box with a mixture of concentrated cigarette smoke and farts, and essentially firing cancer and stink directly at enemy lungs.

The University of Nottingham is in the hometown of Heckler & Koch.  If HK made a smoke ring vortex cannon they would only sell it to law enforcement for copious amounts of money, and scoff at the civilian market worldwide.

You can check out this bigger, more grown up version of the Cannon with a guy that’s just a bit more excited than he should be.

Fireworks in broad daylight in Qatar:

Dubbed “Black Ceremony” this contemporary art is the work of Cai Guo-Qiang, a Chinese national based in New York City and the world’s foremost gunpowder artist.

They used anti-missile decoys used by the military to create the display.

Using 8,000 shells and two months of planning, the exhibit lasted a matter of minutes.

You know what likely would have been cooler?  If they did this at night so you saw the explosions, and then kept turning on massive floodlights aimed at the sky so you could see the colored smoke patterns.

Cooler yet: Rather than patterns, make shapes and spell words that the crowd can see.

Although I’m more of a fan of new cars than the classics, I definitely want this one:

For Thunderball, FMP 7B was fitted with the full complement of famous Bond ‘gadgets’ – by the Factory – that are seen onscreen, including machine guns, bullet-proof shield, revolving number plates, tracking device, removable roof panel, oil slick sprayer, nail spreader and smoke screen – all controlled from factory installed toggles and switches hidden in the center arm-rest.

Well It looks like I have until October 27th of this to win Powerball and make this baby mine. It’s Probably for the best that I can’t afford something like this because i’d probably get arrested for using one of the on board weapons. :P

The guy that is selling it is going to get a pretty sweet return on his money, considering he only paid $12000 for the car in 1969. Awesome how the auction website says it was displayed IN his home… sounds like a cool guy.  The proceeds from the car are being donated to a UK crime prevention program.
